You can get here by bus from Bled. Coming from the street behind there’s a section on the east side where there is a hole in the smaller wire fence. Not so much traffic. Sign for München, after a bunch of failed attempts today I was lucky to find someone going all the way there!

There’s a garden on the car entrance side near the roundabout. An adequate spot for cars to stop. A couple cars almost stopped or stopped to tell us they wouldn’t/couldn’t take us?? A long wait. There’s lots of EU number plates and truckers. A couple offers to Folkestone, a couple apologetic “we would if we had space”. Eventually we found a lift to Belgium. Unfortunately our lift would not add us to her ticket and offered to continue the lift after we had made our own way to Calais. Foot passenger ferries only come three times a day and our arrivals would not align. We got dropped at Dover

Cornwall services is here so a good spot to ask around. I stood at the turn onto the A30. The cold wind and sleet helped, the road is just wide enough for a car to pull onto the grass and not stop traffic. Not ideal though

Not a prime spot. The west road going directly onto the motorway is fast with no ideal spot for a car to stop. The north road allows a car to stop though but much less traffic passing on it. My lift did come from the west road and pulled just off the road onto the grass so not entirely impossible just inconvenient.

Lots of place for a car to pull up. Judging from my previous experience and knowledge now my short wait was just luck. Abdul, a desert camp owner from Merzouga. He was registered to take tourists. We still got pulled over and asked for registrations three times adding an hour to our drive. Managed to just get my lift before sun set and Abdul let me stay at his desert camp. Cars here are heading towards Merzouga, but the nearby police checkpoint must have scared potential lifts off. My previous truck driver stopped for me again out of sight from the gendarmes. As far as I understand now it is illegal for locals to transport tourists unless they are a registered taxi or tour guide, at least in this region. I was uncomfortable when my driver started taking backroads and hiding me in his cab as we passed through towns. I now know he was looking out for himself and I to get me where I needed to go, but don’t feel the need to continue a lift if you’re uncomfortable. Cheers for the lift though mate
