Most people not going to Paris. But got picked up relatively fast, nice place for people to stop

Nice layby, was there during a lot of traffic. I thought this spot was really good but took me awhile

Maybe I got lucky but asking the cars at the stop light got me a ride really fast, as opposed to the other side of the street. Not far but out of the city centre

I think it’s mostly local traffic. I also think drivers don’t think they know they can pullover into the little exit. Left here walked across the crosswalk and started asking cars at the red light

Very very little traffic, most people were going to dunkirk. Nice layby for them to pull into though!

A kind lady picked me up very fast, not a far ride just farther down the road. Don’t know if she took me to a better spot but I got in anyways

Was yelling down to the boats at the berths if I would be able to cross the channel with them. Second boat I asked said yes. Probably my favourite hitchhike of this whole trip it was fucking surreal. Not many boats leave to cross the channel a day so maybe I got lucky, but it’s worth a try if you want an adventure

This is the longest time I had to wait to get picked up ever, but still a nice spot I was hitchhiking out the exit

2 drivers pulled over within 10 minutes, they were going north though. Then a Sikh man pulled over and drove me all the way to London. Had a sign that said EAST

Got a ride from the first person I asked at the service station, from here to the south of birmingham!

Got picked up by a girl whose mom was teaching her how to drive, definitely a very interesting ride. Stopped at a costa for some coffee together! This spots very good if you’re trying to go far, though there is a bit of local traffic.

Got picked up and driven to South queensferry next to Edinburgh, 3 minute wait. Cars are going quite fast but the layby is huge enough for them to stop, minimal traffic.

Got picked up by an old friend of the lady I work for, good ride waited 5 minutes, easy for the driver to pull over

Thought this spot would be bad since there’s a bunch of no stopping signs all along it. But I got a ride immediately, don’t know if I was lucky though. Wouldn’t count on it

Very little traffic on here I probably saw maybe 10 or 15 cars the whole time I was here, though I was here 11am on a workday. Got picked up by a German couple who took me all the way to Edinburgh!
