Was eating pizza with a sign "Chamonix s.v.p." next to me and a fellow restaurant goer asked if he could bring me. Didn't even have to hold the sign.

Good spot, lots of people who go in the general Courmayeur direction. Took one such opportunity and the guy was nice enough to drive me to Courmayeur anyway as we were having a good chat about glaciology. Added him on Instagram and we're considering doing a hiking trip together next summer. 10/10 would hitchhike again.

Great spot! Despite little traffic in the off season, most cars (not vans or work trucks) go to the valley.
