Terrible spot, all the cars going to Turku drive on the lane furthest from you. Try the spot further ahead on the highway instead. We took the bus to Turku

Was here in August, very little traffic with barely any cross border traffic with no one stopping. I started walking towards Liepaja and got picked up while walking.
