Tried to get a ride to Athens, but had no luck, very low traffic, but lots of busses going to Athens stop here, so you can do as I did after two to three hours of waiting and ask them if they take you with them (ticket is ~20€)

Kind of have to revoke what I said before, because although there is low traffic, after some 90 minutes a friendly greek picked me up and made actually a pretty big detour to get me all the way to antirrio. So clouted down to cars that where passing, this is actually a pretty good quota.

Could be a good spot going to Lefkada, but had no chance going South to Patras, stopped a bus after two hours and paid for my ride.

There is a free kind of shuttle service for cyclists (you have to call some number and then they pick you up) through the tunnel. If you are lucky to find a cyclist who ist willing to take you with him you can get a free ride there as pedestrian as well

Medium to low amount of traffic, but there is a roundabout so cars go slow & can see you from some distance and the road behind the roundabout has two lines, so enough space to stop. Also if you got stranded here or want to stay here I can HIGHLY recommend Camping Corali, only 10€ per night, directly at the beach, also good restaurant with reasonable prices there and a mini market.

Despite what hitchhikers wiki tells you this is NOT a good spot. Traffic goes very fast, dangerous to stay by the highway, not many cars stop for the patrol station (but you can ask around there and by chance get lucky).

A nice couple picked me up literally the minute I put up my sign to Trebinje and luckily drove me all the way to Montenegro. Good spot, enough time for drivers to see you, also enough space to stop.

After waiting for about two hours at the gas station I went here and got a ride immediately. Directly on the highway so not the ideal spot to wait, but due to it being Sunday afternoon not much traffic so not to dangerous. Enough space to stop for cars at the end of the highway-entry.

Not many cars going to Sarajevo on Sunday afternoons, but the people at the gas station are very friendly and offered me water, also some other lovely locals stepped by. But in the end I went directly to the highway and got a ride immediately.

Good spot direction Sarajevo. Good amount of traffic even on Sunday, cars can see you from a distance, decent place to stop. Used a sign to Zenica and got a ride within the hour.

Lots of traffic going relatively slow because of the traffic light, you are visible for them for a good while, enough but not the ideal place to stop for a car. Lot of short distance drivers, got a ride to the border eventually. You need a big sign (like big big)

Lots of Traffic, sweet parking bay for cars to stop, most drivers seem rather unfriendly of hitchhikers but nevertheless took me less than 15 minutes to get a ride to Ljubljana
