Honestly one of the best spots I've been, super central in the city, lot's of traffic and roundabout is right there, so traffic is slow and nice. Tons of tourists going different directions, couple that picked me up were willing to take me all the way to Nürnberg. Use this spot when in Bled!

All traffic is super local, 95% of the cars are Zagreb number plates. Even then, might just be Croatia - no one stops, got flipped off a couple of times. Going accross the bridge is an option, but be aware - end of the bridge is the start of the highway. Off-ramp is towards Maribor. Ended up deciding just to hike up into the city and getting a train.

Horrible spot. Offramp is tiny and too often used for anyone to stop, all traffic is intercity or nearby villages, people not to keen to stop to take you even to next gas station or toll booth. Police station nearby, and there is no amenities, you cannot even walk up and down the road safely. Don't go, not worth it. Lighting at night also shabby.

Got super lucky with a ride to Niksic, main road up north out of the airport so good chances to get a ride, but I wouldn't place all my bets on this place, quite far away from rest of the town, but at least people are willing to drop you off in city center, got beeped at couple of times while I was sorting out my bag

Was walking towards the bridge and a man just stopped and asked where I am going, most of traffic from here is gonna be going towards Milot and Tirana/Shkodër, if they are not going the right way, just ask to be taken to Milot. Gas station up the road has more traffic and is on the main highway, if your luck is lacking here.

Most of traffic is towards the border, just be aware quite often if they stop, they are gonna ask for money, either persist that you are going without money, or be willing to scrounge up however much they are asking. Funnily, one of the guys who asked for money just saw me walking away and just said "is ok no money" and got a free ride, even if 2 minutes before he asked for 10 euro

Traffic is very local most of the time, probably better luck at early times of the day, at least you are in town but you cannot walk further up the road (signs forbidding pedestrian traffic 100m up the road towards Skopje), people are pretty friendly and interested in you so makes it easier to get rides.

All the traffic at this point is crossing the border, now that both Romania and Bulgaria are in Schengen, no border checks either, and the cars are going pretty slow and do stop to ask where you're going. Be aware that at the time of my crossing, the bridge was getting renovated, and only one way was open, might be difficult to cross on foot if you wanted to, and might make the waiting times longer. But you can walk up to people and ask to take you!

Might seem great at first sight - border crossing, alcohol shops for cross-border shopping, plenty of stopping space, but all the traffic is extremely local, only reason I got a ride was because the driver got forced by his SO to turn around and grab me for next town, try to get to nearest town for emergency bus/train in case you'd need it
