zero minutes wait. literally got off the junction and a guy told me to hop in to jerusalem

Lifted a thumb and got a ride. Everyone here goes in direction of the Golan

Got lucky pretty late in the day - a couple took me to Aberdeen. It is the entrance to the road there... so it doesn't seem like there are better spots around. Good visibility, low speeds etc

Waited for 15 mins and a guy took me to the Peak district

A decent spot. Try to get tourists that will get back to the main road, because this place is the middle of nowhere. Nice friendly sheep around.

Everywhere on Uist is half deserted. Maybe you get lucky. Maybe you don't. If you walk, the beaches are nice :) The wind's a bit rough though.

Held a sign. Got a ride to Glasgow within half an hour or so

People usually go north from here as it seems, but got lucky with a young German guy going right to Edinburgh

Some people will stop. Some won't. Everywhere is hitchable, but remember Unst is suuuuper empty.

Second car I asked took me to the outskirts of London.

Asked around. Got taken to Leicester Forest services within nothing. Great spot

Not a good spot anymore, since there's a new bypass on the A68. Waited a while before giving up, trying to get to Dalkeith and then luckily some guy dropped me at the first village on the road.

All cars go to Hildsburghausen. Locals are visibly distraught by foreigners

Was aight on a Sunday afternoon. Got a ride to Leipzig

Don't be here after 12:00 noon. Everyone in the afternoon goes to Coburg itself or to Sonnefeld if you're lucky - waited here and asked around for 2.5 hours and had to ask someone on the street to crash at their couch. Arrived the day after, got a ride almost to the town over north bc I was so desperate to get out. Huge nope

Waited 1.5 hrs on a chilly November Sunday. Got an offer to Hannover but needed to get to Berlin, a guy then got me to the rastplatz on Kockern and got a ride from there to Berlin

Low traffic but that means cars might stop in the middle of the road for you. Got a ride all the way to the Golani junction. Better here than in the main road imo, people drive there pretty fast

Got picked up by a marine biologist heading towards Migdal. Great potential spot for Tiberias and onwards, lots of place to stop

Literally a two minute wait to the Migdal commercial area.

Turned down a few rides as most people went to Tel Aviv and we needed to get to Tiberias. This woman picked us up then dropped us in the middle of the highway before the exit to Tiberias. Lots of traffic at decent speeds, but expect to wait as it's right across the central bus station
