We tried to hitchhike at the entrance of the fast road to Elbasan, even though it seems impossible to stop (and the police was on the roundabout so we were afraid that nobody wanna stop in front of them), someone stopped after 10min. The Albanians described in the comment above were probably not waiting for the bus but also hitchhiking (albeit for a fee), so they didn't give you bad PR, they just got there earlier than you.Regardless of that: easy spot for Elbasan, got a ride within 15 minutes.

The spot is very good towards Elbasan. The traffic is quite slow and a lot of cars pass. But when we were standing here there were 5 Albanians with us, waiting for the bus, but i guess they didn't know when it will arrive so they looked like hitchhikers and they were making us bad PR.
