Cars can stop good here. No Trucks only cars headed to Tirana for work. Rather long wait tho

many cars and space to stop, cars can see you, many going to Tirana, just a little fast everywhere from here to the next 400m is good

Had to cross the highway which was a little scary but i managed Industrial area and lots of cars, around 17:00 everybody going home and many people to Tirana, because of that also some traffic jam so enough time for people to pull over

UPDATE actually I picked the wring spot on the map, the right spot is a little further in direction of tirana

had to wait for some time, no locals wanted to take me, i think many stayed in the area, finally some german tourist picked me up who were going to Tirana.

I was just standing here and looking at my phone, then car stopped and asked do I need help. When I told them that I need a ride to Tirana they took me a little bit closer to kamez center and gave me money for bus to Tirana as I didn't had any Albanian money in cash yet. Albanians are great

After rejecting some offers to take me for money I got ride almost till Tirana. Just remember to say no money, autostop or something like that and it will work. I used just thumb and it was ok

waited for like 30 mins and got a ride to the tirana airport. little shade tho and a bit of an akward spot

Not great spot, not much room, but I got lucky and a guy who wanted to thought i was just going to shkoder outskirts brought me all the way to right before Tirana

Not a good place. In the gas station in the city they told me to go here. I had to walk uphill for more than an hour in the hot albanian sun. But you can get to Tirana from here.

Easy ride. The guy left us at petrol station in direction of Tirana.

Very good spot directly next to the gas station. Main road towards Tirana and you’re also catching the traffic going there coming from the roundabout. 2 guys with a sign „Tiranë“. Traffic was going very slow, cause there was some sort of construction going on at the road, so you got a good visiblity and also some shadow. We were taken after 1 hour by a guy who drove us all the way to the Center of Tirana and even took some shortcuts to avoid traffic and to make sure that we were even faster than the Google Maps was saying :)

Highly recommend thumbing/ signing while walking to this spot. We got a ride from traffic on a random minor road in eastern Vlore, thumbed and had Tirana sign. Also note that there is a road barrier that has been built at this spot since the google maps street view footage making this spot a bit worse but still possible.

As good as it can get, main highway between Shkoder and Tirana, cannot have plenty of shops and places to eat if you need a break, lots of cars at all times

Was walking towards the bridge and a man just stopped and asked where I am going, most of traffic from here is gonna be going towards Milot and Tirana/Shkodër, if they are not going the right way, just ask to be taken to Milot. Gas station up the road has more traffic and is on the main highway, if your luck is lacking here.

This is outside the Bajaj Oil petrol station (red sign that says B Oil). The price board offered shade, but no more shade starting around 11:00 (in July) due to the sun's position. I wanted to go from Gjirokaster--Tirana. Signed and thumbed for 95min, unsuccessful. Maybe it was too far. I was a bit short on time, so I walked 5min south on SH4 and took a bus to Tirana. 1200 lek (in 2026) and leaves at the top of each hour
