As good as it can get, main highway between Shkoder and Tirana, cannot have plenty of shops and places to eat if you need a break, lots of cars at all times

Was walking towards the bridge and a man just stopped and asked where I am going, most of traffic from here is gonna be going towards Milot and Tirana/Shkodër, if they are not going the right way, just ask to be taken to Milot. Gas station up the road has more traffic and is on the main highway, if your luck is lacking here.

This is outside the Bajaj Oil petrol station (red sign that says B Oil). The price board offered shade, but no more shade starting around 11:00 (in July) due to the sun's position. I wanted to go from Gjirokaster--Tirana. Signed and thumbed for 95min, unsuccessful. Maybe it was too far. I was a bit short on time, so I walked 5min south on SH4 and took a bus to Tirana. 1200 lek (in 2026) and leaves at the top of each hour

Got a ride by two of the nicest Albanians ever that took me all the way to Tirana. They realised I had literally no money and offered to buy me food and drinks which I kept refusing but they absolutely insisted and bought stuff for me anyway. So on the way I got given pastries, a donut, 2 yogurt drinks, 2 waters, a sandwich, 2 packs of cigarettes, watermelon and then gave me a whole cantaloupe. I told them I was trying to hitchhike to turkey and they thought it was a bad idea so they bought me a bus ticket for istanbul tomorrow morning. What the actual fck. Genuinely in disbelief right now. I am forever in debt to Ari and Kico those Albanian legends.

Went to road that is north and got told to go to this road. On this road people told me to go to the other road i have been to... After a long wait and an hour of walking i got a ride by a construction truck who already saw me on his journey to tirana 1 m 2PM Thursday

Most people will go to Albania/Skhöder I tried at the exit of the town but no space ro stop and no shade. At the roundabout people might not notice you but shade and shops nearby. Got a ride from People going to Tirana to my Hostel in Skhöder. 1m Sunday 10AM

This spot is great for getting to Tirana, cars come slowly out of the roundabout and there is a perfect place to stop just past the gas station

got dropped off here and were too lazy to walk to the other end of perrenjas, lots of traffic staying in town but we eventually found a ride all the way to tirana, enough space to see you and stop (shop owner on the other side is really sweet, friends with our ride before and got free coffee) (1girl 1boy)

Cars didn't stop, 2 buses to Tirana came and wanted to take 5€, but we waited for 20 minutes and a young guy picked us up and got us straight to Tirana

was walking since Himarë, expecting a ride to vlore. But no one stopped. A postman took me in Dhermi and said he was going to Tirana. I accepted and we had a nice trip

Went to Tirana via Elbasan.

The driver turned around for a group of 3, picked us up and drove to Elbasan (he was going to Tirana airport)

Caught a car going to Dürres. Before was offered a ride to Tirana for 20€ (refused) and another ride on a very short distance (refused too)

I was just sitting on a sidewalk (didn't hitch cars) and the second car which was passing by stopped in front of me and its driver gave me a ride to the main road to Tirana.

The first car stopped and drove me to the main road to Tirana (a man went to Shkodër).
