Good spot for Graz, not that much for vienna.

Good Spot to get a fast ride out of Graz. My direction is Vienna and the kind driver picked me up After 2 minutes of waiting on a saturday miday.

One driver from austria took me to Graz. I waited for less than 5 minutes. It is a bit tricky for a car to stop, but the red light takes ages to change.

We were lucky to have met a guy from graz (big communist city in Austria) with a big van, where three of us could fit. He even took a slightly different route then he planned to get us to our goal. Apart from that, the village soboth meets at 6pm to empty their garbage, next to the gas station. Loads of people comming over, but they all live around the area, thats why they dont take u nowhere. Loads of bikers drive that road too. The cows are very friendly and curious at that sopt

A lot of people going to croatia on vacation, but with already full cars. However many people are also going to Graz

Had a sign to Maribor Zagreb, no chance, changed it to Graz and got there instantly, very nice people even took me to the next highway station

Camped at Ammersee and got a lucky ride all the way to Graz, usually not too much traffic though

Waited for 90min without a sign (single man), got a ride to Bad fischau rest station from where it was easy to continue towards Graz.

Cant really rate this spot, we were extremely lucky, storm started and very nice lady took us to Graz.

We have a sign with "Graz" and we stay here maybe 20mins. I think the best spot in Vienna to this direction

It'a a nice place to hitchhike and ask people to grab you. There is hotel too. After 20 minutes we ended up going to Graz

Some people passing through but must just going to McDonnald's and back home. I would also say there is more traffic to Graz than to Wien, but hard to say if it will remain like this, because the road is under reconstruction. We, two guys with a sign to Wien, got there after 90 or so minutes.

Got a hitch quite fast to Graz. We were 2 guys.

Perfect spot to get a ride south or to Graz, it took me 45 minutes waiting. I had a sign with just GRAZ and on the flip side, SÜD. I tried asking around at the BP gas station just up the road for an hour and a half and most people were locals. I highly recommend this spot as it gives driver's time to see you and your sign, also there is some space for them to stop if they wanna pick you up, highly recommended! 👍

We were trying to get to Graz, but there is only local traffic. We have to moce to the entrence of the highway

I is look good place...worsest experience in life, 3days,no sense at all to get to the highway direction to Vienna Better never go to Graz, stay in highway only !

Awesome in direction to Graz/Maribor

We got dropped off from a ride from Mikulov. We tried to catch a ride using a sign to Graz/Maribor. There was mostly traffic heading towards Vienna. We do not recommend this petrol station. Only a few cars were going our way and the there were road works right next to the station (13.7.2025). We asked around a lot of people. We eventually got lucky and a nice lady took us to Graz Putigam Station.

We took a train ride from Graz as we didn’t feel like hitchhiking from the city. There is a plenty of space in surrounding area to camp as well. We got to this petrol station around 10am. There was already a lot of traffic mostly fully packed family cars. We cold approached drivers and got a ride all the way to Zagreb.

We (2 guys) Waited for 8 hours and got no ride, although 1 car stopped which wasnt going our direction(Graz). Seems like a good place with cover from rain in form of the bridge and streetlights, maybe we were just unlucky
