not so bad, kind of a game of chance with the traffic lights. waited here with a sign that said salzburg / linz and finally a guy picked me up and drive me just to the closest gas station on the a9 where i then caught a ride with a truck to wels. not the worst, not the best. was thinking of trying the gas station about a kilometer closer to graz, could be better there to ask around.rating: 3/5, wait: 45 min πͺ§, ride: 185 km β

lots and lots of traffic, though took longer than expected. walked around the gas station and asked around, but wasnβt great, so stood by the exit with a sign. took a bit of time, but eventually found a ride straight to graz.rating: 5/5, wait: 30 min π¬+πͺ§, ride: 201 km β

Not too many cars were coming through the rest station (Thursday midday), but generally I think it's a good spot that is probably better in the weekends. There is a Landzeit where often people stop for a meal or coffee. My sign was: SLO, Ljubljana.. after an hour i switched it to Graz, Maribor.. and was Lucky to get a ride all the way to Ljubljana:)rating: 4/5, wait: 90 min πͺ§, ride: 234 km β

During summer, there is many cars full of people driving towards Slovenia and further south, a couple to Graz and during our time there was only three cars with Italian registration plates. There is not an huge traffic really. After waiting with a sign Italy, waving for long, we were successful asking a man having a rest at the benches.rating: 3/5, wait: 180 min π¬+πͺ§, ride: 101 km β

We stood with a sign βGrazβ but only roughly 70% of drivers noticed us and gave their gestures. There is a lot of cars driving directly to the highway direction Vienna and Graz. After roughly an hour or so we changed for a thumb only and a kind girl stopped for us.rating: 4/5, ride: 185 km β

Not perfect spot, a lot of cars, but it was raining day so maybe because of this a waited long, a lot of people go to graz (which I want to avoid and all austria), Poland, and Czech Republic. I want to go to Prague but I catch a ride to Regensburgrating: 4/5, wait: 80 min π¬+πͺ§, ride: 481 km β

A local recomended this spot towards slovenia, croatia and italy. Its a tram stop so there is a place to sit. If you stand before The crosswalk people can easily see you and stop at the bus stop behind. We have wanted for maybe 20 min with sign slovenia ( around 17:00 on thuesday) and a very nice lady picked us up and took to Maribor. Seems like a lot of people go this way from graz to Maribor.rating: 5/5, wait: 20 min πͺ§

I had no luck here trying to get to Leibnitz after 5pm from this spot. Awful capitalist-hellscape. Ended up walking to Kalsdorf and taking a bus back to Graz. Trained to Leibnitz the next day.rating: 1/5, wait: 120 min πͺ§

This spot really sucks. If you wanna get out of Graz (besides maybe not going there at all lol) you have to go to the bus station that's situated like 300 metres before this one (Dr-lister-Gasse).rating: 1/5, wait: 180 min πͺ§

We were 2 people (a girl and a boy) on our way to Slovenia. We spent the whole day trying to get out of Graz, it was hell, this city really is evil. After hitchiking for like 3 hours from the other bus station (Karl-Huber-gasse), we decided to go to this one (Dr.-Lister-gasse) a Slovenian guy stopped. There is a lot of space for cars to stop in the bus lane and it is probably the only convenient spot to leave Graz towards south. Good luck!We had a sign towards SLO.

Ok spot to go towards graz or Salzburg. You can stand next to the SOS phone on the highway entry. Several police cars saw me and they didn't seem to have a problem with me hitchiking there. Not a lot of traffic thorating: 4/5, wait: 20 min πͺ§, ride: 163 km β
