Some people passing through but must just going to McDonnald's and back home. I would also say there is more traffic to Graz than to Wien, but hard to say if it will remain like this, because the road is under reconstruction. Perfect spot to get a ride south or to Graz, it took me 45 minutes waiting. I had a sign with just GRAZ and on the flip side, SÜD. I tried asking around at the BP gas station just up the road for an hour and a half and most people were locals. I highly recommend this spot as it gives driver's time to see you and your sign, also there is some space for them to stop if they wanna pick you up, highly recommended! 👍rating: 5/5, wait: 45 min 🪧, ride: 170 km ↙

We got dropped off from a ride from Mikulov. We tried to catch a ride using a sign to Graz/Maribor. There was mostly traffic heading towards Vienna. We do not recommend this petrol station. Only a few cars were going our way and the there were road works right next to the station (13.7.2025). We asked around a lot of people. We took a train ride from Graz as we didn’t feel like hitchhiking from the city. There is a plenty of space in surrounding area to camp as well. We got to this petrol station around 10am. We (2 guys) Waited for 8 hours and got no ride, although 1 car stopped which wasnt going our direction(Graz). Seems like a good place with cover from rain in form of the bridge and streetlights, maybe we were just unluckyrating: 1/5

not a great spot to be dropped if you can avoid it. on a weekday in july there was mostly cars going to graz and south west austria. a few polish drivers going to croatia for holidays, as well as trucks staying the night. we hoped for a ride to slovenia but settled for a lift to klagenfurt where its easy to hitch to ljubljana.rating: 3/5, wait: 60 min 💬+🪧, ride: 136 km ↙

its best to stand a little bit further away from the on ramp just behind the first overhead bridge where theres a small space on the shoulder for a driver to pull in. mostly local cars but also a few Graz plates. people driving by were a bit stern but if you smile and wave theyll act a bit more friendly and you might convince someone to pull in who wouldnt have otherwise.rating: 4/5, wait: 20 min 🪧, ride: 167 km ↙

here is a good spot but on a saturday in summer there were many families and cars with no space. there was also a vaction driving ban for truckers so i couldnt ask them for rides either. i tried thumbing from the end of the station but i eventually got a lift talking to some hippie looking people going to graz. a lot of the drivers who had no space were going to vienna or elsewhere in austria.rating: 4/5, wait: 120 min 💬+🪧, ride: 86 km ↘

This seemed like a good spot with a lot of traffic going to both Graz and Vienna with enough place for cars to stop.But I felt invisible there, like people were ignoring me standing here and also sunset hits drivers eyes hard so it's double hard for them to see you. I stood there for some time and then went to a gas station near high way which was a lot more better

Nice place! Not much of the traffic, but 90 percent goes to Graz or further.You can get there by train from Vienna + a little bit of walking
