Asked around in this rest station but all of the cars have east direction as well as mostly jampacked holiday enjoyers, was here for a hour asking til moved, potentially good for going towards Innsbruck but not for Bregenz

Very poor location towards west, no matter are you up here or try your luck down on autobahn (which is illegal), but either way no good spot for cars to stop, as well as mostly cars turn towards Innsbruck from here, wait time of over 40 minutes definitely, try to get to some other junction if possible

Very uncomfortable spot, but will do the job, got a car going to Innsbruck with 15 minutes, small ramp, speeds are okay

Very good for getting towards Western Europe. Once got me to north Italy, once to Netherlands and once to Innsbruck. It is good to ask drivers, but you can just stand at the exit with a sign

This seems like a great spot to go south, although probably mostly short distance trips. Not a lot of traffic, but one of the first cars took us. Since we had unsuccessful been trying to get out of Innsbruck from different locations for the last ~2½ hours we were desperate and took the first car, even if it was only for a short trip.

Please note, if you need a break from hh you can walk out the gas station and go to lake Tinninger for a swim or shower (40 min). Easy to camp around as well at night.
First car that stopped for me was going to Innsbruck, second car dropped me in Munich on it's way to Switzerland.

A lot of people but nobody to take us. After 2h finally a road to Salzburg. But you could be lucky. A lot of trip to München or Innsbruck. A lot of families, no place in cars.

Many people go to Innsbruck or to Italy, I had to wait one hour to find people going east.

Good spot for Innsbruck although most cars are local. I found a ride to a gas station on the way to the Arlberg tunnel in 40 minutes. Stand on the road at the beginning of the bus stop area to have a better visibility.

Tried here and gave up, cars go fast and don't have so much space to stop, and most of them drive on the left lane. I had a sign for Innsbruck but it was probably too small for drivers to read it. I changed plans and went back to Feldkirch to hitch at the bus stop.

I started hitchhiking at the walserberg bus station and walking up to this spot, I didn't even reach this spot and I got a lift... There is a nice spot where cars can stop across the gas station.. I used a sign with "Innsbruck" on it and got to Innsbruck... Very good spot 👍🏼 it's possible to get here from Salzburg by bus... And lots of traffic to Germany, and the best route also from Salzburg to Innsbruck for cars.

The best spot in my opinion to HH in Innsbruck... I hitchhiked with a sign with swiss flag, during the whole time only one or two cars with swiss licence plate passed me. But one got me to the swiss border, just where I needed... 👍🏼 (Used this spot after unsuccessfuly trying on the ramp/roundabout west of the Innsbruck airport, I don't recommend that one)

A bad stop, it's forbidden to stop there for cars, better go to the green spots in Innsbruck

We decided to try here after trying the parking lot spot with little luck for a while. The idea was to be visible to all vehicles, even those not planning on stopping at the station, since the traffic was low. It worked; a couple saw us, felt bad, and actually entered the petrol station through the exit!! And we got really lucky and got a ride all the way to Innsbruck!

The spot was ok. A little scary to be out near the lanes like this, and some people gave us dirty looks, but all in all pretty good. If traffic is higher, this spot might feel less safe, and the parking lot spot is probably preferable.

We used a pretty big sign with "AU" on it. Since cars not planning to stop go pretty fast, using few, big letters is probably advisable, so they can read it from afar.

I got here from Innsbruck with the tram (STB), and waited about a hour to get a ride to Gries (I was standing here with a sign IT). There are going a lot of domestic people, but I think it is a good spot.
