I wasn't even standing in position with my sign yet, when a guy walked up to me and offered me a ride with his group way beyond Salzburg.rating: 5/5, wait: 1 min 🪧, ride: 170 km ↘

Great spot but use a sign. Plenty of traffic and a good spot for the cars to pull over. I was trying to go to Lienz so it took me a while to find a ride, but it should be faster to Salzburg or even back to Villach.rating: 4/5, wait: 90 min 🪧, ride: 64 km ←

Not good for direction Graz. Only Balkan families going in that direction with full cars. Everyone else to Salzburg or Wien. Still, Not a lot of cars for how big the station is. Would recommend. We ended up finding a ride to Graz after 4 hours, by asking people.rating: 2/5, wait: 240 min, ride: 190 km ↘

Easy if you're going direction München or to Rosenheim. Not many cars going to Salzburg. We waited for quite a long time, finally some german youngsters took us when it was getting dark. Wouldn't recommend, even if there's a lot of traffic not much for direction Salzburg.rating: 2/5, wait: 200 min, ride: 98 km →

Got picked up quickly after holding signs for OST and Salzburg ! Really busy service station with lots of cars coming through - didn’t ask around, we just held our signs outside the petrol station but if it’s less busy it could be worth itrating: 5/5, wait: 25 min 🪧, ride: 119 km →

Has a lot of potential and maybe we were just unlucky but this was not a good point to go East. Many going South that we didn't ask though. Austrians are very difficult people when it comes to hitchhiking, not much luck with them. We settled for a short ride into Salzburg with an American tourist to try and find a better spotrating: 2/5, wait: 120 min, ride: 13 km ↗

Not the best gas station, not many cars going to Munchen/Salzburg - probably would be better to catch someone to get you after Innsbruck (there is a junction with another bigger highway from Italy). Also, it’s better to ask than to stand at the exit.rating: 3/5, wait: 90 min, ride: 90 km →

We first waited where the marker is set but it was not too much going on and decided to ask the people directly if they have some space for us to get to Salzburg or Munich. After asking 3 cars we got a direct ride to Munich. We were 2 men.rating: 4/5, wait: 20 min, ride: 253 km ↖

We had a sign to Salzburg and there is a lot of traffic, but most people are going to Villach or Spittal. We got a ride to a gas station on the highway after 40 minutes and had a better chance there. We were 2 men.rating: 3/5, wait: 40 min, ride: 19 km ↗

We had a sign for Salzburg and got a ride to Lendorf after 40 minutes. I think there were not too many cars that went for a long distance ride so it was more difficult to get something but the cars can stop in front of a house that is safe. We were 2 men.rating: 2/5, wait: 40 min, ride: 49 km ↖
