Great if you're going to Austria (either Innsbruck or Salzburg), many different gas station options to ask around

Good if you're going to Munich or Nürnberg. We first tried to get to Regensburg but no luck so eventually we settled on Munich. If you're going to Austria like us, it might be easier to get through Munich and Salzburg than to try and cut across

Terrible, he were here for more than 3h. I was starting to loose all faith in humanity. If you need to stop in Salzburg, tell your ride to drop you somewhere else

Got a ride to Salzburg after two hours...but it was a public holiday in Germany so a lot of families with no room in cars.

At this moment gas station is under rebuilding and the place is almost dead. Only few cars stopped and it can be challenging to get something. I got extremely lucky with the driver, who used every possible stop on the highway to smoke a cigarette. Took me to Salzburg. When gas station will be finished and open it should be good.

Probably better to ask around, we stood with a sign, but we cought a quick ride to salzburg even late at night.

The gas stations were frequently visited but most people went to Berchtesgarden or Salzburg but we wanted to go to St Johann.

Waited for ride to Salzburg with sign, didn’t have to wait long, the cars go quite slow here. There’s also a supermarket on the other side of the road

Standing at the exit to the autobahn with a Salzburg sign, didn't take me long for a guy with his little kid to stop and give me a ride. Big station with alot of traffic

Got there quite late, 8pm, and there was not much traffic turning to salzburg, but after a few cars passing, a girl took me to nearest gas station in the A8

I wasn't even standing in position with my sign yet, when a guy walked up to me and offered me a ride with his group way beyond Salzburg.

great spot for visibility, many truckers pass but no success with salzburg sign. after waiting 3 hours decided to just go to munich with 3 young guys who stopped.

first waited by eni but no one stopped as cars coming from left were concerned with merging and cars already on were going quite fast. this spot proved better for slow cars (and shade!) and kind person refuelling went into eni and made me a sign for salzburg!

be brave! talk to drivers!! you won't have much luck standing at the exit of the carpark (is what we think anyways), cars going west and north to salzburg passau germany etc, a bunch of czech plates and lovely motorcyclists

Austrian lady picked me app directly to the Salzburg. Before that I ask only one person. Really really good spot

Great spot but use a sign. Plenty of traffic and a good spot for the cars to pull over. I was trying to go to Lienz so it took me a while to find a ride, but it should be faster to Salzburg or even back to Villach.

Not good for direction Graz. Only Balkan families going in that direction with full cars. Everyone else to Salzburg or Wien. Still, Not a lot of cars for how big the station is. Would recommend. We ended up finding a ride to Graz after 4 hours, by asking people.
