Bit lucky, waited for some skydivers to finish that were from Antwerp and nabbed a ride with them. If you’re stuck near arnemuiden there are normally people from all over coming to skydive that can grab u on the way back

Heading to the UK. Didn't have a good time here. Spent 3 hours alternating between the exit road, the shop entrance, and walking round and asking people. Literally no-one said they were going towards Brussels, most people seemed to be going north, and there were lots of Dutch plates. Got offered one lift to Antwerp, and then eventually a guy driving to Spain offered me a lift to Brussels, though it turned out he wasn't driving to Brussels at all so I got out at Mons...

It took us 7 mins to get a ride to Brussels. We held a sign. It's the road just before the entrance to the highway towards Brussels/Antwerp centre. We were two girls at 9pm and got a very nice man take us.

Perfect stop. Found a nice guy that brought us to Antwerp. Just asked around people in the cars.

i totally recommend that spot for ppl trying to get to antwerp, i got taken in 5min there’re a lot of cars and a lot of spaces for them to stop totally recommend 😸😸😸

Waited for more than an hour at the exit with signs and thumbs with no luck. Lots of traffic but no one stopped. Walked back to the pumps to ask around, found 2 rides to Antwerp within minutes but persisted to find one further and found in 30min to just after Antwerp.

Lots of Dutch number plates on a Sunday evening. We took a ride to Antwerp because we hadn't had dinner yet.

Difficult spot to get out of the city, but would not know any other that is better for direction Antwerp --> Netherlands. I got a hitch to the first rest stop on the E19.

Nice petrol station, not too crowded. It's great for Antwerp or furthernnorth. To go to Gent we ask a nice driver to do a quick detour, to bring us to the first gas station in direction of Gent, which is like a ten minute detour from the route to Antwerp. This was a good decision. Seems like not many cars actually take this direction.

Direction North: Apart from Brussels many cars go to Antwerp or the Netherlands. Not so much for Gent

More variation in driver destinations than expected, rejected rides to Vught(?) and Antwerp before finding one to Limburg

Highly recommend. A decent sized land for cars to pull into. Plenty of curious looks at our sign. Seems good for north and east. One offer to Antwerp, we took the next car who got us to Lueven

We got picked up by nice locals on the way to antwerp ! Write a big sign and wait before the petrol station and hope for the best!!

Good spot for heading north onto the Ring and in the direction of Antwerp. Slow traffic, good visibility, and opportunity to stop at the gas station.

Held sign saying Antwerp/E17. Lots of space to pull over but not a lot of spots where cars are looking your way. My driver was heading to Brussels but decided to take me to Antwerp in the end.

There weren't a lot of cars but I got a lift offer every 20 minutes further down the road to the entry of the N49. I was aiming for the E34/Antwerp and none of them headed down the E34. I was told the entry of the N49 doesn't have a lot of good spots to stand in but have no evidence of that. Might be a victim of my rigidity, or maybe I made the right call not getting stranded at the entry of the N49. We will never know. Also signal here is bad so download GMaps beforehand.
