Not an easy spot for cars to stop without holding up traffic. Found a lift to a good petrol station on the other side of Brussels quite quickly though

Didn’t take long before I had a lift to Brussels with a car full of Germans on their way to a Jason Derulo concert

I needed to go just to the Brussels city centre and was able to find a ride almost immediately, even though it was already dark.

I got lucky. The first car driving by took me and got me near Brussels. This spot looked promising, was large, and had slow cars for hitchhiking west. But maybe I was just lucky.

This is a great spot, but be aware, cars are going in all directions, so you really need to know your direction and major cities in that direction. A car stopped, and the guys told me that they were going to Torhout. I asked whether it was in the direction of Brussels, and they confirmed. But after I realized I had made a semi-voluntary ride to Torhout.

This is a good spot for Brussels. Also lot of British people here are going back to Britain for the weekend. Just ask around, and you can easily get a ride to Calais or to the coast. Just be aware, do not go to Calais late in the evening, there are migrants all around. I learned that the hard way.

I was told by locals to try in here, but it's just a waist of time. People is busy and the area isn't the best place to stop. I got picked up after 1h and half, and the bro left me in a random gas station right before the airport where none of the cars were going north. So I managed to comeback to Paris and get a BlablaBus to Brussels. If you are in the countryside, try to hitchhike. If you are in Paris center, going to north, just trust me and pay for a cheap bus.

Stand a bit further, where the on and oframp split. There's a side rod there where drivers can pull in. Had a few offers for direction Brussels but I waited for a ride towards Lille and got it after 38 minutes.

Not great, not terrible. After some waiting, found a nice guy willing to take us to Brussels. (1 M, 1 F)

Lots of people stop and ask where you want to go, I could even be choosey and wait until I found a lift directly to Brussels.

A guy and a girl on a Thursday at noon without a sign. It was a good spot : there is little place to stop, but traffic is good and slow. It might be a bit dangerous, but not so much and two cars stopped to help us in 10min. We got a ride with the second car to the petrol station in the direction of Brussels.

Held sign saying Antwerp/E17. Lots of space to pull over but not a lot of spots where cars are looking your way. My driver was heading to Brussels but decided to take me to Antwerp in the end.

Got dropped here when our roads split, but all cars went to Brussels, not Gent where I wanted to go. Also weirdo’s made obscene signs at me (girl traveling alone) luckly someone brought me to a next tank station where I was more lucky

Wanted to go to paris, but the best we got was Brussels

It was pretty long for me to get a ride, lots of People went to netherlands or close by or just refused to take me... However in the end i got a ride to Brussels (my end goal was paris) :) It's not a bad spot but you definitly need some luck.

Very good spot to join brussels, Charleroi or liege

Walked here from Leuven, asked around, two of them were going to Brussels and the third one happened to be a couple living near London, so I got a ride from here through Eurotunnel all the way to north of London. And they ended up being worried that I will get stuck hitchhiking out of the London bubble, so they bought be a crazy expensive train ticket to Manchester, so I got to my friend’s place by the evening! ☺️

Perfect spot to go to Brussels, a lot of trucks going in this direction.

Lovely lady took us to just outside Brussels. Only waited 5 minutes and didn’t even have our sign written up yet.
