Perfect spot to go to Trieste, I just asked around and found a Ukrainian family going to Rijeka that even dropped me in the city center. Too kind!

We were two people and actually wanted to get further south, but apparently we struck a period of bad luck on that specific Sunday. The spot itself seems very nice, but except for three people offering us a ride back to Rijeka (which we didn't want) nothing else happened for the whole period. After one hour of nobody offering any ride we decided to take the next opportunity that anyone offers, which was Bratislava. So yeah. I don't know if that spot was good enough to make people stop for you. Others seemed to have had more luck.

Get prepared to get into the car quickly, and if you go to Zadar or Split you should reject cars going towards Rijeka. Police is there, but didn’t bother us

Waited 1 hour halfway to Rijeka but it was like 5 in the morning. I think its a good spot, easily reached by bus.

Hitched here twice, once to Rijeka; took me only 10min. Once I went all the way from Bosnia in summer and waited 2 hours for it

to get to here you can get 611 or 860I and then it's a 10 minutes walk. Not many trucks stopping but with a bit of luck you find someone. We were here on a national holiday so not many people passing by, but in the end we found a couple going to Rijeka

There Is a bus station and all Cars from krk go trough here. Its great if you want to go to rijeka. Almost no Cars in other directions

Not a lot of traffic going towards Rijeka in late September on Sunday. I had a sign and no one stopped. Eventually gave up on the sign and hitchhiked the local road using 6 different rides

Been here for 6/7 hours with breaks. Got total of 3 cars stop. Drivers typically offer to drive you 10-30 kilometers towards Zadar or Rijeka. If it happens to you, please DO TAKE THEM and don’t wait for a direct ride to a big city. I got greedy and had to spend the night. No sign advisable as you have to get opportunistic. No shade, no grocery store. Brutal, brutal place.

Great spot! We had just pulled out the sign and a Bosnian driver had stopped and take us to Rijeka.

It's a great spot to get to Italy or Koper, but we were trying to get to Rijeka, and no one was going that way. We decided to walk the 4-5 km to crossroad the 6 and the A1, and hitchhiked there after literally two minutes.

We got to Postojna (ultimately Rijeka) quite quickly, but a much better spot is at the highway entrance.

A lot of traffic but noone taking us to Rijeka, in the end we made a sign for Karlovač and got picked up. It’s on a crossroads near a pedestrian crossing, just next to the on-ramp for the highway. Nice runoff area for pickup.

It was not enough space for cars to stop. A local guy picked us up and took us to better spot at Zbandaj. No shade, but in Porec maybe the best option in diretion Rijeka and further.

leaving Pula was a nightmare, but eventually found a ride to move closer to Rijeka and Zagreb. Had a sign RJ/ZG
