In my expierience it's a terrible spot - lot of cars turns back to Olomouc. After trying for, at least, 40 minutes one couple ask us if we need a lift and they took us further than Brmo! It was pure luck!

It isn't the best spot- people weren't so happy to see us asking for a ride - but it's a MOP near main road that can take you near Ostrava, then to Olomouc and than to Brno. We met a cute, polish couple who took us because their destination was Czech Republic. There are clean toalets for free and a huge parking.

Recommend this spot to hitch towards, Olomouc, Ostrava, Vyškov. Cars go fairly slow, but right now there is construction going on so there is less place to stop, but they do. But in the end I got a ride on the lane joining the speedway!

There is a large truck parking, better way than HH at the exit is to ask people at petrol station, a lot of cars are going to Brno. Luckily I got direct ride to Olomouc in few minutes.

Small parking on a highway (A1) goes to Ostrava,Olomouc, Brno. To catch car its better to stay on a highway close to the enterance to the parking, so cars can enter the parking and rick you up. its rather difficult because cars have high speed.
for us it takes 20-25 min to catch car to brno.

Found this place by accident after looong walk from Olomouc. I guess it's a good emergency hitchhike place to get out of Olomouc in case of heavy traffic making it unable to hitchhike somewhere else.

Cars are driving a bit too fast for the fact they are just exiting the roundabout, but there's plenty of space for them to stop (even for a truck). Kinda hard to get there, it's literally at world's end and even from the bus stop Olomouc city you have to walk quite a bit through field and grass. However, once you get there, it's a fast business

There is a bus stop which is a great spot if you go to Brno or Praha. If a driver goes only to Brno and you want to continue to Praha (or just not to go to Brno and continue on D1), it is the best place to be dropped as there no petrol stations or good spots on D1 before a turning to the city. The waiting depends on day, but it generally pretty good. You usually get a lift pretty fast (in few minutes) on Sunday afternoon as many people are going back to Praha or Brno.

This spot should work also for the direction Vykov and Olomouc, but I have not tried it yet. If you have, please just confirm.

Excellent hitchhike spot! Traffic is relatively slow. Spot has wide place for truck driver which usually does take a ride from Hradec Kralove towards Olomouc.
