Traffic jam because of the roundabout turned out to be perfect. Stood with a Prague sign, drivers had a lot of time to see us and contemplate. In couple of minutes we got a ride.

2ppl got a ride quickly to Mlada Boleslav. From MB it is easy to continue to Prague.

Came from Liberec, direction Brno, thought that it would be a good idea to get dropped off before Prague to get a further ride to Brno. It was not - very little traffic further than Prague, so chances are very low to catch a ride further. After changing the sign from Brno to Prague, we got a ride in 2 mins and then moved to a better spot.

We got stuck at this gas station on Sunday evening from 18:00 till 22:00…then we decided to go to sleep behind the nearby restaurant. We started hitchhiking on Monday morning at 6 am and we were picked up by nice driver at 8 am who drove us at least to the following gas station (18 km away - we are stuck here now…so for 2,5 hours and still waiting while writing this review). We are two girls. Trying hitchhing with/without a sign and even approaching people as we are so desperate. Nothing seems to work. We wanted to go to direction of Norimberk. Preferably Regensburg, Pilsen and final destination Prague. This never happend to us. Ususally we wait like 30 minutes. Münich seems like a very bad place for hitchhiking as we were stuck at another gas station on north (aiming south) for 3,5 hours.

We wanted to get to Prague, but didn’t get drivers’ attention (neither with a sign nor by asking at the station). After an hour, someone offered us a ride to Jablonec nad Nisou, where we got a ride to Prague almost immediately.

We took a bus from Prague and then took a 15 min walk to get here. We were standing at the exit way from McDonald’s with a Brno sign. We got a ride directly to Brno after 20 minutes. Seems like a good spot.

Really good spot, lots of truck drivers whom you can ask around. I wanted to go to Prague but ended up catching a ride to Dresden first.

I was going to Munich, I was dropped off here by a trucker taking me from Prague. It was a pain getting south out of here! Hot and low traffic. Everyone is super nice, but Thursday mid-afternoon most people (especially truckers) were either going east to Prague or north on the A9. Finally got a short ride from a super nice German-American couple to an A9 rest stop

After waiting for 45 minutes, 2 kind very kind grandmas showed up and took us all the way to Prague.

Easter friday, full of cars, can catch easy ride to Prague

Thumbed cars going from Sobotka westward to Boleslav/Prague. Got a ride eventually. You can try directly on the freeway too but the speeds seemed too high to have a good chance of a ride

We asked People if the drive in the direction of Prague. Worked on the third try

Very good gas station for hitchhiking. We were standing with a sign (CZ written on it) at the gas station exit. We managed to stop someone who was going directly to Prague!

Easy to reach, a long bus stop with wide space for cars to stop and good visibility for cars (driving moderately fast). I thumbed without sign and after 10 mins got a ride to Brno, and dropped me at a good gas station directly on the highway (Lískovec) where I could very easily continue north to Prague. Seems like a very good place overall!

after RFP festival, super easy to get ride to Prague

I was semi-asleep while switching cars here, because it was the middle of the night, and I was sleeping in the truck that got me here, so take this message with a grain of salt. This was a good spot, a lot of trucks, and I found a car with a Czech licence plate willing to take me all the way to Prague.

Most people from here are going to Liberec, but with a bit of luck they also head towards Prague. You might also find someone going towards Železný Brod. A sign is useful here.

Hitchhiked here many times — average waiting time around 3 minutes. Perfect spot heading towards Prague! :)
