Got a lift all the way to Copenhagen. Good mix of local and international traffic. We got a lift by asking around based on the license plates.

Tried to get to Copenhagen and got a lift to A1 where we got a ride all the way. A lot of cars but mostly local traffic, however there were quite a few international traffic. There is a bus stop that the cars can pull over at.

Have to agree with the previous comments, even though it’s technically illegal, as it’s right behind the motorway sign, it’s the best spot to hitchhike south/east from Velje, as almost all traffic to Copenhagen/Germany will be going through here

Wanted a ride to Kolin, guy took me to Velje and told me it’s better to get to Copenhagen. Very much local traffic, but should be possible to get a ride to Kolin quickly

perfect spot for naesvede (and also copenhagen maybe), i got taken in 1min just after the red light cars are coming from both sides and can stop on the bicyle road i really recommend it it’s 100% better than the others spot (cars are getting too fast and not that much of space to stop) wish u good luck😌

Danish people are so kind! So easy to get a ride. They feel safe in their country so they are not scared of others like other parts of western Europe!!! I'm a man and got taken by a single woman. To Copenhagen with a sign.

busy crossing with no good spots to stand on the petrol station. to copenhagen you're better off going with the train, south it's almost impossible to catch someone here. some people going west.

a lot of tourists in the summer, good place to stand right after the traffic lights, cars have a long time to look at you and decide :) i caught a ride directly to copenhagen almost immediatly

A guy and a girl without a sign on a Sunday at noon. We only waited for about 5min before two guys stopped and took us all the way to Copenhagen. Seems to be the more logical way to go for drivers, and there was a reasonnable amount of passage. There is enough place for cars to stop.

I waited for almost three hours, met a French hitchhiker, and together we got a ride in a French camper to Copenhagen. This gas station has an outdoor water tap, which is very convenient on hot summer days.

Technically a good spot with space to pull over. I was heading south and got stuck there at night, so I pitched my tent in a nearby neighbourhood. The next morning, I easily got a ride to Copenhagen — there’s a lot of traffic heading that way. It took me 5 minutes to get a ride on the morning.
