For me, better place than actual highway ramp nearby. Some good guy gave me ride to a Circle K gas station before Odense, in the evening.rating: 3/5, wait: 25 min, ride: 42 km ↘

Horrible spot!!! Dunno about before but now theres no place to stop and everyone is going fast AF, not gonna lie, i was even scared a bit... I tried few places over there, not a single one worked out, man I was frustrated. Then I went to the shopping mall exit nearby and after about 25 minutes of trying here, some guy gave me ride to gas station/truck resting place before Odense, thank god.rating: 1/5

This may look like a good place but ITS NOT. I ended up here in the evening, then camped nearby in a forest. Expected fast pick up in the morning, NOTHING HAPPENED. Save your time and go to the Fynsvej/Lyshoj place, if you want to continue in CPH or Odense direction.rating: 2/5

There's a small short time parking right next to the ferry drive out area. It's a great place to try to stop the car, but you have to be aware, that ferries only arrive once an hour. I've been hitchhiking from there every week the whole summer, have been able to get my ride every time :) Sometimes people were going to Rudkøbing, but mostly to Svendborg or Odense.rating: 4/5, wait: 10 min, ride: 9 km ←

Little traffic (sunday afternoon). Still got picked up to Odense in no more than 10min. The dirt parking spot allowing drivers to stop is still there.―Anonymous, January 2020

Just perfect spot. I hitchhiked with a sign Odense and got a lift in 2 minutes. it should be probably also possible to hitchhike directly to Copenhagen.―Anonymous, July 2017

There are only room for less than 20 cars on each departure to Fyn, and the ferry only leaves approx. every 2 hours. I ended up paying (57 kr.) to walk on board. On the ferry I got a direct lift to Odense.

All the cars tuning here are going to Denmak. Lots of Space to pull over after the highway sign. Got a ride to Odense in 10 minutes.―Ewelinalucy, September 2015

Very good place to hitch West (Odense). Got a ride within fifteen minutes, had a sign with D / E45 on it. Perfect! However, took the train to Karlslund and the bus, not the train to Koge, as I think that is a gas station further South!

other side: direction Germany, probably best spot for long distance out of Odense. take bus 130/131 from the main station to Skallebølle (i've marked the place where the bus arrives in white), walk from there―Marcus De, July 2015

I tried to hitchhike here when coming from Vejle to Odense. Note that the right spot to hitchhike in here is a place where the cars can stop which is between this roundabout and the ramp that gives access to the Motorvej. Foreigners as me might get a bit confused, that's why I'm putting this note, but you may see that the roundabout isn't a safe place for them to stop and what I call "ramp" has signs saying "100km" so the cars are going quite fast in there, there's not much space for them to stop and it's also a curve :PAnyways, I tried over an hour hitchhiking here, until I gave up. It was a Monday afternoon at it was a holiday. After I gave up, I hitchhiked towards the city center to try hitchhiking at the other spot marked here on hitchwiki (at the crossing of Fynsvej with Lyshøj Alle). There I waited less than 5min until I was picked up and driven all the way to my doorstep in Odense.
So, I'd say, don't insist much if you're not been lucky here: hitchhike towards the city center and try that other spot.

This is a great spot to hitchhike to Odense. I was first dropped off near the toll, but I was sent away from there as soon as somebody saw me arriving. It's forbidden and dangerous to hitchhike at that toll, so just walk to here and lift your thumb. Try to use a sign to Nyborg, in the other side of the bridge it will probably be easier to get a ride as there are more cars passing by there than in here. Also, from this spot here you see a restaurant and a gas station. If it's taking too long to get a ride, you can go there and try to talk to the drivers. I didn't talk to anybody, just stood here with a sign to Nyborg and I was picked up in 10min. The driver decided to drive a few km more just to drop me off already in Odense (my destination) so that I didn't need to hitchhike in the cold in that day anymore. And contrary to what the other comments are saying, I did saw space enough for the cars to pull over here, as they're passing by slowly because of the roundabout.
If you get stuck over here and you need a place to crash, look up for Leo Carona (facebook, couchsurfing, google, whatever) I might be able give you some help or a last minute couch depending on the day =)

If you are heading towards Copenhagen and the one you have a ride with are going in another direction, they are likely to put you of here, because the big sign says Copenhagen - but's it's very stupid!! It's still at the highway and people get mad, hunk at you and won't take you up. I would recommend to go a bit further into Odense city.―Anonymous, November 2014

Very good spot towards sjealland I never waited more than 15minutes alone, and the one time we were two we waited 20minutes maybe. You can get an easy ride directly to Odense, for Copenhagen it took me between 2h30 (best time) to 4h.―Anonymous, September 2014

I don't remember how long we've been waiting here, but I stood in this side of the road and my friend in the other side at Lendemark Hovedgade street as we weren't sure what where would be better to hitchhike towards Odense. A guy stopped in my side at Kostervej and drove us to Koge. An old man passed by me cycling and started to tell me that it is forbidden to hitchhike in Denmark (hahaha), but I just said it's not and he went away. (And no, it's not forbidden if you're not on the highways and there's place for the cars to stop safely!)There's a bus stop here.
