basically that’s the spot for the ferry to talinn i have tried to find a boat before with asking marinas but mostly in the time that i got it was not doable, 100%better with ferry it cost around 40 so a week of waiting will have cost me the same plus it’s around 20h to 1 day of sailing and u need to have good skills, soooooo you can try but ferry could be very useful if u got like 2 days in helsinki before talinn good luck 👍🏼

totally agree, perfect spot to helsinki from tampere lots of cars and plenty of space to stop place yourself before the bus station good luck then :) (kebab in the other way is really good btw)

I had an interesting time standing here late in the evening. Has ton of space to stop but not the best visibility because there is a hill in front so it blocks a view but if you stand at the end of bus stop there should be enough time for driver to decide. But either way i got offer to pay 100 euros for two boys to take me to helsinki even tho they are going there and grind never stops for them. But then i laughed and declined. In 5 minutes arrived a romanian guy going back to romania from nordkapp. And he was planning to go on ferry to tallinn which i needed also in the morning so we agreed to sleep in one of parking spots and go together to the ferry. I waited this only because I was ambitious and tried to get a straight ride to Helsinki so declined three offers to get to Jyvaskyla but took a fourth. And the lady took me even past the town to get started forward much easier. Good place slow traffic but a bit akward for drivers because they are turning but its fine there is plenty of space.

Normally a small village, Kaustinen balloons from 4k to over 50k during the week-long folk music festival. As a result, I had no trouble in finding a ride all the way tn Helsinki in under 5 minutes.

Not exactly on my way (Lahtis) but i was little bit desperate to get ride outside of Helsinki before night starts so I can find place for camping

Two people. Traffic lights and the bus stop make it pretty reasonable for cars. Not bad, sun was shining behind the cars so they had less problems seeing us. Maybe too much traffic (drivers thinking someone else will take us) and a lot of drivers propably on their way to home from work either in Helsinki or Vantaa. So would propably find a place further up the highway maybe in Vantaa if using it again.

A lot of traffic heading to all directions. If heading south towards Lahti/Helsinki, a lot of the traffic is local.

A big bus stop right after the intersection, good visibility and an old gas station next to it. Got a ride to Jämsä from a driver heading to Tampere while I was heading to Helsinki.

Arguably the best place to leave Oulu region if you’re able to get to the bus stop from the city and heading towards Helsinki.

Towards Jyväskylä. Quite busy morning traffic, but most of the cars and virtually all the cars on the closer lane were heading to Helsinki. Important to have a clear sign visible to the cars on the further lane coming from ABC.

Not easy to get out of Helsinki but doable.

We waited here for four plus hours, starting at 4 pm. A lot of cars passed in the direction of Turku but no one stopped. We had a sign that said “Turku, suunta” The spot itself seemed like a good one. A local dropped us off there and claimed that all Helsinki going to Turku would pass there. I don’t think that was true, but either way it was a safe spot for cars to stop, they’d see us and have a very long stroke to drive on and brake. A lot of cars (and busses) would stop to drop ppl off/ pick ‘em up. The good thing is there is a train station just below with a wide reach and trains until late. We took a train. There also is a shopping centre with supermarket close.

Took some time, but found a ride all the way to Helsinki.

Bus stop. Long waiting time but eventually got a ride to Helsinki(Espoo). Put a sign that says Helsinki

Wait time of 20-40 minutes, not too many cars are using this entrance for Inkoo direction, but it's a really nice spot accessable with trains from Helsinki (to Masala or Jorvas depending on which line you take and walk here-- on side note, be careful of ticket inspections and don't take lines further than Kirkkonummi.

Would recommend using a sign here, got a ride to Helsinki within 5-10 minutes, great spot relatively close to Lohja center

For a rather central Helsinki this is the only good spot for going outside, lots of cars with low speeds as they need to turn, nice area for cars to stop, always got a ride within 30 minutes, try to catch cars coming from ferries

Had to walk 30 minutes and then there are space to stop and some traffics to go to Helsinki
