We waited here for four plus hours, starting at 4 pm. A lot of cars passed in the direction of Turku but no one stopped. We had a sign that said “Turku, suunta” The spot itself seemed like a good one. A local dropped us off there and claimed that all Helsinki going to Turku would pass there. I don’t think that was true, but either way it was a safe spot for cars to stop, they’d see us and have a very long stroke to drive on and brake. A lot of cars (and busses) would stop to drop ppl off/ pick ‘em up. The good thing is there is a train station just below with a wide reach and trains until late. We took a train. There also is a shopping centre with supermarket close.

Best spot outbound to Turku, plenty space to see you, plenty space to stop. Our wait was long due to hitchhiking at late evening.

Stood after the highway sign where there’s space to stop, police showed up and kicked me out fast. I’d try another spot if going to Turku.

Towards Turku, not that commonly used entrance, but nice area for cars to stop, wait time of 30-40 minutes

The old road towards Turku, but no use of hitching here, most cars go to the next villages, even tho the spot is decent the cars seem to avoid you, just get to highway entrance, wait time of 100+ minutes expected

Small bus stop towards Turku, seems uncomfy for cars to stop but still found a car within 30 minutes, decent amount of traffic but the speeds may be quite fast

Okayish bus stop towards Turku, there's a restaurant the other side of the road where lots of longer distance vans etc stop by, on this side just a mere bus stop, which is a bit uncomfy as there's gonna be another lane after this for cars turning right, wait time of 40-60 minutes

There are a lot of traffics. With the traffic light you can show your sign for one side at the other. Find a ride to turku on the morning

Good spot to go to Turku. People here seem to be very friendly and stop easily.

We were very lucky at this spot. There was only one car at the gas station, and they brought us directly to Turku.

Got a ride to Rauma in less than 5 minutes. Lots of traffic and plenty of space to stop. The traffic is already sorted out so a really good spot if you want to go to Rauma or Turku

With sign "Turku". Got a ride to Turku, and was offered a place to sleep there aswell.

Not the worst place, it can work sometimes i guess. We were There around 5 pm on weekday, so it was very calm and hardly few cars went through. From here, you can take bus straight to Turku for 19 e/person. It leaves every 18.00,19, 20,... Maybe more frequented in the morning. You will be in Turku in 1,5 Hour.

We got two cars. One wanted to get paid, the other one was really kind and gave us options, where it could be better. In the end He took us to Muijala bus station. This (the bus stop in Muijala) is not a bad spot, but the traffic is low in the evening so after going Down the highway, we gave up and went to the bus station Back. From here it goes at least every Hour like 16.30,17.30,.. For like 19 e/person. Maybe it is more frequented in the morning. Maybe i suggest staying here a little longer and wait for the one who goes to Turku directly. Don't Give up, it is like 1 out of 50 cars will stop.

Terrible spot, all the cars going to Turku drive on the lane furthest from you. Try the spot further ahead on the highway instead. We took the bus to Turku

I got a direct ride to TURKU after 20 minutes, nice place! :) Just take care of the incoming traffic!

For Helsinki / Turku. Traffic drives slow here. You an also try at the gas station.

I hitchhiked on the parking and got a ride in less than 5 minutes. When flying to Finland, I was waiting after the check-in and just started asking people. I found a ride Turku - Helsinki. It saved me a lot of time and money
