I stood at the roundabout on the other side of the highway, waited 30 minutes with a sign to Amiens, a woman took me to the next gas station (Phalempin). Would suggest trying without sign.

We 2 ppl with baggage got a ride there to Amiens. Final destination was Lille, which we got from there then. Can recommend a walk over the bridge from Honfleur. Good view over the Seine.

we asked drivers if they can take us after Reims in direction of St Quentin, our destination was Amiens and it was quiet easy to catch a car

Though it is the only way from Amiens to go to Normandy, there are not many cars passing by this spot.

very good. that's the place I hitchhike from when I'm going to Amiens or in the south. you can also ask for Paris. Just Take the subway until Lille Grand-Palais then take left in the Bolvard of Louis XIV and after left and first right. walk a bit a u ll see the highway entrance. you can hitchhike from there.

If you get a lift to the train station in Amiens, you can follow the sign for Paris. After a littlle while you come to the street "Route de Paris". You follow this street, at a crossroad it changes to "Route d'Amiens" and you follow this one until you get to the first roundabout. You pass by this one and go left to the road which leads to another roundabout. There you can stand at the side, there is enough space for cars to stop and they have to slow down before the roundabout. If you are going to Paris it is perfect. I did this with a friend in this November and we got a lift after 20 minutes. I would say, this spot is good to very good! Good luck!

We were two girls waiting near the exit, didn't go to anyone. But within 15 min we got on a car heading for Amiens. It was a Sunday morning.

Can hitch north to Amiens or south to Paris. About and hour and a half walk from the airport(get a map from the information desk). There's not a huge amount of space for cars to stop, but it works. Try and stand on the tarmac island right where cars can turn around and go the oppsiste direction.

You continue on the way and stay just under the second bridge, There is 20 m after you a place where the car can stop easily and it's good place when it's raining !!!

5 min waiting with direction of "Tournai"
15 min waiting with direction of "Amiens / Paris"

Take bus 9 going south to Croix Blanche or Centre Cial Amiens Sud. Walk down to the big roundabout, then take the exit toward the autoroute to get to the second roundabout. There is plenty of space here for even a big truck to stop. Elizlenz got a ride to Paris from here in February 2012 in less than 5 minutes.

Nice place to hike to Amiens, you don't need even a sign, because everyone's haeding to Amiens.

We tried to hitchhike at this peage going north. It was already 9 o clock in the evening and our sign 'Amiens' wasn't working out. Desperately we tried a combination of 'Le Havre', 'Amiens' and even 'Belgium' (our final destination of the day). And it worked! We had a ride up to Lille, but we had to wait over one hour for it.
