The door was not open, but you can follow the wall/fence until it ends, climb down a small hill towards the autoroute and then jump the (second, smaller) fence. Sounds more complicated than it ended up being, the fence is even a little bent down and there's trees to help. Lots of local cars but I still found people going through Lille to Mons within 15 minutes. Would definitely recommend this spot to get out of Paris to the North.rating: 4/5, wait: 15 min 💬, ride: 246 km ↗

Free toilets (thank you, France) and a busy gas station with lots of traffic to Lille and Paris. Look out for cars with the numbers 75 for Paris proper or 91/92/93/94/95 for the suburbs. Found a ride to St-Denis in less than half an hour. Generally really helpful and friendly folks there.rating: 5/5, wait: 25 min 💬, ride: 219 km ↙

We got dropped here due to miscommunication. Not a great spot but after a while we found someone who took us to lille. Try to avoid this spot. You can make it to the highway if you really want tho.rating: 2/5, wait: 50 min 💬+🪧

Doesnt always work — we had no luck after 2 hours (wanting to go South/to Lyon). Went to another stop (Lille Grand Palais) and were taken to Seclin within a minute.rating: 2/5, wait: 150 min 🪧

Busy gas station but everyone going just to Ghent. Almost no one going to Lille. Found a ride after 60 minutes but only because the driver took a big detour to help us out.rating: 3/5, wait: 60 min, ride: 107 km ↙

We 2 ppl with baggage got a ride there to Amiens. Final destination was Lille, which we got from there then. Can recommend a walk over the bridge from Honfleur. Good view over the Seine.rating: 5/5, wait: 45 min, ride: 192 km →

It’s mostly taxis and people who work at the airport. On the off chance it isn’t, they are going right into Paris. Nobody that I talked to was going to Lillerating: 1/5, wait: 100 min

Okay spot. Medium traffic and not super opportunities for parks to park, but they go slow so they can stop. Had a sign for Lille and got picket up by a car going to Arrasrating: 4/5, wait: 45 min, ride: 132 km ↑

Many people going to Brussels, Amsterdam, Calais. Don't try to go at the toll further up because nobody is going to take it for Lille (as it is easy to go around). People think they won't pass by Lille but insist as they WILL for sure. You'll be drop somewhere where you can get a city bus. Not many cars at the station and I had to insist to convince people they can help me. i thought it would be easier for Lillerating: 4/5, wait: 60 min, ride: 53 km ↑

I arrived from a first lift coming from Lille on a wednesday morning. Found a lift directly to the center of Gent in 2 min.―Lois, March 2017

I choose this spot because it was out of Lille already and easily reachable thanks to the tramway. I arrived at 9:15 on a wednesday and I waited 1h30 to find the first lift to go to Kortrijk (Courtrai) by a driver with a little refrigerated truck. Not many people taking the A22 to Belgium, almost only cars.―Lois, March 2017

I was going to Lille. Arrived there at 8:30 am. Many cars coming around here but a lot are taking the peripheric and not the A3. Even Belgium cars!! It took me more than an hour for someone to stop and taking me out of Paris in Aulnay (which was a perfect spot to go north from there).―Lois, March 2017
