Small amount of cars on Wednesday, a lot of them are going to Lyon so it’s harder to get past Lyon

There is some space to stop, but it’s not great spot. Most of the people are going to geneve. It’s harder to go to Lyon

Many cars were stopping, but I turned them down because none would go to Lyon. After 37 minutes police came and told me I had to leave.

very easy to get to, probably the best spot to get out of Lyon, had "A7" written on a sign, but for best results do "Aire de Solaize".

Took a bit of time, many people sloped and offer a ride to Magdeburg, but I refused as I needed to get on A9 highway. Eventually, I got a ride with a truck to crossroad of A9 and A4, as I was going to Weimar. Truck was going to Lyon actually.

Got dropped off here while going towards Nice from Lyon.Saw and talked to a fellow female hitch hiker who often does Lyon Nice, a lot of cars that pass by since it’s a huge stop with a Burger King and several other restaurants and shops, did seem like a lot of people were going more towards Marseille than towards Nice, people are friendly.Know how to speak French helps a lot and having a sign is better

Single male, no French. It was alittle frustrating. Waited around 5 hours with a sign "Lyon" and "Sud A7" at the very end of the station. Good amount of traffic but nobody stopping. A Turkish French guy took me to north of Avignon. And also gave me 50 Euros, god be with the you, much respect Mutalip Abi!

Single male, no French. Spent the night here. Set my tent in the north side of the Aire, next to truck rest stop. No one bothered me, only one truck driver approached me and asked me what I was doing when I set my tent. Apparently he was also Turkic so we started to speak same language, he gave me incredible meat stew and offered me ride next day, sadly he was driving past the Lyon and I wanted to enter the city. Next morning I started early and got a direct ride to Lyon, from Fred who was also such a cool guy. Fairly enough traffic in this station, good spot I would say. Good luck out there stalker!

Single male, no french. I came here from Paris, with Rer D train and 4307bus and a little bit of walk, around 16.45. The gas station still have a back entrance, a little hole in the fence where you can easily fit. Just becareful when passing the road as there is no light or pedestrian pass. I asked people around with a sign "Lyon Dir. A6". 3rd person I asked, was kind enough to got me into his car. He was Paul, the "Lazy Guru" :) He drove me to the gas station just north of Lyon, he was such a nice guy. We chatted all the way, around 4 hours. The gas station itself looked pretty empty at that time of the day. There is not a lot of traffic but most of the people going to Lyon direction so probably a good spot to get a ride. I was lucky this time. Good luck out there stalker!
