5 minutes to Marseille. I walked to be by the toll. It's quite a big one, i would recommend going inbetween the lanes depending on where you are heading

Best place to leave Marseille. I used it two times. This time, i got a ride straight to Montpellier within 5 minutes, the car was going to Barcelona. I use a sign "MONTPELLIER, Fos/Salon". In Salon there is a massive toll on the highway where you can have better luck. The other way through Fos is a smaller road where you can hitchike from roundabout.

Every time I've been to this station, it has been hard to get on the A9. This last time was not an exception. First I tried on the roundabout at the exit, then asked at the shop, which finally worked. From what they told me, people mostly go to Marseille, Aix and Nice.

I normally avoid Peages, but I didnt have an other choice. I got picked up by a Bus driver who brought me 2 Hours in the direction of Lyon. He drove to Marseille, so I could have went Germany-Marseille in one day so great spot, maybe it was just luck.

Got a ride by French-Moldavian couple very fast. First to Chamonix, but then they invited me to stay for a night at their place in Annemasse as it was already dark and my destination was Marseille. It was perfectly on my way and I couldn't resist the offer. What a hospitality!

Just next to the barrier is very good spot to go south. I was holding sign Marseille and after an hour got a direct ride there. The station is very good - you can refill you water, use toilets for free and buy relatively not expensive coffee. During Sunday all traks are resting, however on working day it is worth to ask truckdrivers for a ride.

Waited here to a ride to marseille or generally a pick up in the direction of the West … but no rides :( The spot was bad - try it closer to the highway

Waited 45 minutes on a saturday afternoon. someone took us to Orange, they were headed to Marseille.

Normal spot, just before the autoroute. Easy to stop there. I took the first car who was heading to the north. If i remember well, the problem here is that there is 2 directions (South like Montpellier or Marseille and North like Lyon).

I waited for a way to Avignon but no one took me for 2 hours. (It was in the morning. I think everyone got to work to Marseille) So I made another sign to Marseille and got picked up after 20 min.

It was sunday so not to much cars but it worked very well. A guy drove me to cassis, near marseille. You need to ask to cars at the gas station. Good spot for get out of lyon.

Good spot but there is nothing around, if is summer bring water. An old completamente stopper and bring me to marseille. Fantastic landscape.

Not safe place to car to stop because bus pass frequently. But you need to trust french peoples. Good spot for get out from marseille

Got a ride for Aix en Provence in 30mn with a “marseille” sign. I waited between the toll and the small parking. Seems like a good spot to go south, and there’s space for cars to stop

I came here around 7 pm on a Monday, got a lift to Marseille after less than 10 mins. However, cars go fast here and I feel like it was my luck.. Nice spot 🍀

got a lift of out marseille after hours to this gas station, which has loads of cars coming and going (at least between 3PM and 4PM while i was there). i asked everyone a lift to Nimes with my broken french, and for what i understood there were loads of locals, and people directed to Marseille eventually got a lift to arles

Perfect to go south (Marseille, Aix...). Lot of people, and some place to stop the car.
