stood there in rain but got a nice ride to Česká Kamenice in like 20mins.. on my way to Sweden:)

We got picked up almost immediatly by a nice guy heading to Nador

A nice place where you can fill up your water, use toilet and ask around, some track drivers rest there too

Great on-ramp with nice shoulder, but way less traffic than expected. If in Morro Bay, maybe try your luck at 278 instead. Got a ride by the cliché of the Californian surfer. Big beard, straw hat, old stick-truck and a board on the roof. Sweet man who let me out of Cayucos where I could hitch legally, according to him.

Got a ride from Cristina because she saw me writing my sign earlier this morning. I remembered her her kids. Sweet & very nice, fun conversation all the way to Newport Beach.

Good spot outside of the city. Nice view on the ocean and ice cream spot who looks like worth a stop. Didn't get the time to taste it because I got a quick ride from a woman going home. Very nice, she offered to host me if I couldn't make it any further for the day.

After buying a sim card at the border I walked a bit and got picked up by the 3rd (or so) car. He took me to Batumi which was really nice. HH seems easy here

Nice petrol station, not too crowded. It's great for Antwerp or furthernnorth. To go to Gent we ask a nice driver to do a quick detour, to bring us to the first gas station in direction of Gent, which is like a ten minute detour from the route to Antwerp. This was a good decision. Seems like not many cars actually take this direction.

We waited for 10 minutes but it was too long and getting late so we started walking and than a really nice van stopped and drove us to Torë even though it was out of his way:) Got really lucky

Do not try to come here. Unless ready to face the police or highway services. :) We just got there, happy that we found a spot (not easy to get there) but the second we started hitchhiking, a car from ASFiNAG (highway services) pulled over telling us kindly to go away since it is a highway and recommending us to go to the roundabout (unexpected recommendation by them, but that roundabout is not considered a highway.. that was nice of them) so we went to the roundabout and waited an hour there to get our ride to Klagenfurt -two guys, sign KL, Saturday afternoon

Normally, the people from San Sebastian del Oeste go often to Puerto Vallarta, La Estancia or Mascota, on this case I met a nice guy who took me to La Estancia and from there he told me that he was going to go Mascota later so I waited for him and he took me there his name I don’t remember

As I was looking for the best spot to have a shelter for the rain, this disfigured woman in her car makes me a sign to come closer. She got me in the next house who was crappy & full of rubbish as hell (def strange folks in the area) to present to friends she was visiting. Asked me to help to move a dresser from another house before giving me a ride all the way to Eureka, CA. After the dresser and other misc. expeditions in the area, we started driving South. Reaching Lincoln City at night, she told me she actually wanted to visit her boyfriend and decided to drop me there. She apologized and ended up getting me a night at the motel. Later on, I heard from the hall guy that she has been disfigured after being shot by a farmer who found her stealing. However, she was nice with me, offered to pick me up again if she was seeing me on the road the next day, offered me her change from the motel's purchase and told me her encounter stories with Big Foot & potential werewolves.

Got dropped at the gas station, very nice clerk who moved here to avoid the city shamble, pretty certain he is nice with hitchhikers and so, good spot to head North. Raining cats&dogs, went to the further grocery shop to be on the good side of the road and have a shelter in-between cars. Got a ride next town from a man who couldn't properly understand me bc of brain damage. Had a dog as well.

Hard to find a proper spot. Lots of traffic, but short shoulder and sign forbidding pedestrians to go too much on-ramp. Got finally a ride from Annie, a girl in her twenties with a free afternoon who offered me to go all the way to Portland. Very nice ride , lots of chat, nice weather and good view on Mt Reinier all the way !

Tried to ask around at this gas station but there was very little traffic, most of it in direction HR anyway. If you’re stuck at this spot, go to the cafe next door, Marian the owner is a super nice guy, we had a good talk. He also suggested in take Blue Line minibus to Herceg Novi for €1.50, which I ended up doing. This was my last spot in a very unsuccessful attempt for hitchhiking Dubrovnik-Kotor. With more time and patience I am sure it can be done in the offseason, but it certainly isn’t easy.

I walked down the road when a nice couple stopped and told me it‘s forbidden to HH there. They were very kind and took me for a few km. At this point I waited until a man stopped, ask me if I was confused - after 10min he came back with a bus ticket to sivas. I ended up taking this chance.

didn't even try to hitchhike, was just being disapointed and looking at my phone after missing the bus; when someone stopped and saved my from the hike up to norma. cute town, with an amazing view and a nice set of roman ruins

Towards Strenci, nice long part of a road, you can also try in Brutuli, but there's cars turning from both sideroads as well, so you have to keep that in mind, wait times of 20-30 minutes expected
