Nice spot to go onto A10 in direction of Paris. Big round about but cars don't go too fast and it's possible for them to stop. Waited 20min with a "A10 Paris" sign on a Monday morning (10am) and got a ride to the next big service area on A10 (Aire de Meillac). Easily accessible by tramway C to "Berges du Lac", then walk 15min.

Waited two hours unsuccessfully with two people and a sign, but with one person and no sign, I got 3 people to pull over in 30 minutes! It's a good spot - visible with a nice place for cars to pull in.

Nice spot in the bus station in the busy road. Comfortable hitchhike to the region capital Zlín.

Took a bus out of rijeka. Waiting at the bus station and a nice lady took me after 5 min. Heading to pula

stood on shoulder where right turn and the other lane (from traffic light) merge, which is technically on the highway, but you can go back and choose one if you wanna be legal. at 7am on Sunday there was little traffic (compared to what you'd expect on a highway) but still about 5 cars per minute or so, and the first one stopped after 2 hrs. it may still be your best option to get out of Savannah though. I recommend taking any ride out as things to get easier once you get out (sparse population but everyone is super nice)

quickly got a short ride a few exits down, which I took because it was after the Atlanta exit on the I-75 north south split. nice people here

kind of middle of nowhere but it actually works; people are really nice here. noon-ish on a Sunday, there were on average 3-4 cars every 5 minutes

huge mall with a lot of people. bought some food, was eating and when people walked past me, I asked them. after 10-15 minutes nice old couple took me to Turin highway gas station.

i preferred to stay before the entry, so cars have more time to decide. was picked by a boat truck driver. was a nice ride. thumb.

Is a nice spot to wait, has shade and a decent shoulder. I got a short ride down the road. I could have got a longer ride if my italian was better. The first driver to stop was going further but got impatient with my poor attempt to say where I was going in italian.

If you wait for someone nice enough to stop you will definitely end you journey in Paris, would'nt recommand another spot in avranches
