Many cars passing by. We had a sign with autostrada and thumbs out. Took 10 minutes and a nice Italian women took as to the on-ramp of the autostrada 20 minutes down the road. 1 female & 1 male

Nice spot, bus stop with visibility but space only for cars to stop, trucks go too fast. Lots of traffic but lots of locals as well. Friday, 6:30pm so probably not the best moment.

Very nice spot, a lot of visibility and a lot of traffic. I followed the advice of the previous post and stood at the junction of the road and the gas station. The road split to go East or North so you need a sign to have the right people to stop. Got a ride to Rocky Harbour quite fast.

Perhaps am starting to revise my opinions of Corsican hitching. Got picked up within 10 mins by a nice lady who dropped me at the bakery roundabout. Vive la corse libre. Zz

Some VERY nice Corsican older people actually lobbied on my behalf to EVERYONE who came into the gas station to take me north. They got a nice dude to take me to Morosaglia in a truck. A smile and speaking the language and having knowledge about other peoples culture goes a LONG way yo

Corsica is actually a brutal place to hitch. People don’t stop for whatever reason. I eventually gave up on my original spot and walked 150 yards to this gas station. Originally, was at the fruit and charcuterie shop to the southwest, there was a very nice lady there who gave me a box to make a sign. Got picked up almost immediately at the gas station, but I don’t think it had anything to do with the gas station. Just Teo, the homie who picked me up and dropped me just north of Corte.

Guy and girl heading towards Oslo, sign saying Gol/Olso. Got a lift to Gol in 10 mins. Good spot, traffic going Bergen-Oslo, speed bump means cars are going nice and slow.

Decent rest stop, easy to access by bus or train. I’m told it’s not as nice your average Japanese service station tho. Used it to get out of Kagoshima. Had 3 people offer rides in this time. Slower than usual I’m sure due to the rain, and apparently our sign was wrong (we had written E3 Kita on it so beware haha). Kind uncle bought us some snacks for the wait and we ended up hitching a ride to the Luffy statue.

Literally got dropped my taxi and offered a guy a cig. He asked where I want to go and it turned out that he is a mini van driver. He had a spare seat and offered to take me for a few Euros. I rejected the offer, trying to explain that I hh. He ended up taking me for free, even though I was not sure if he goes to the border or not. He dropped me at some reststop, where (idk tbh) some friends (?) waited for me. I ended up paying 5 Euro for the last 40 or so km. He brought me directly to the border gate which was nice. At the end I think it would be possible to go for free.

just got lucky since everyone is taking the other street outwards the city north so if you can, go to the bridge. But otherwise nice space to stop nice it's a bus stop (1girl)
