I stopped here after leaving Nice, to get on the highway. I had a sign saying « Frejus » to get closer to Nîmes, after a hour only one car enventually stopped and took me. People in this area are not open to help each other it seems…

A lot of traffic and space for cars to stop. A couple took me to Aix-en-Provence (my sign mentioned it) to get closer to Nîmes

Not a very convenient spot for the cars to stop because it’s in a turn but you have space, some cars can just honk at the car that will stop for you but it’s safe. A lot of traffic, so it was easy to get a ride to Salon-de-Provence to get closer to Nîmes.

I stood between the two left lanes at the peage entrance with a sign to Arles, to eventually go to Nîmes. After 10 min a guy took me, initially going to Arles but offered me to take me to Nîmes because the two cities are close and it would be not so easy to leave Arles

We (man and woman in our 20s) waited for almost 2 hours in the late afternoon of a monday in mid-August. There's place for the cars to stop and to stand safely, but few rides to Nîmes/Avignon. We eventually got a ride.

I stand in front the tram track (I think it is safer and the car regularly stops bcz of it. Also if no tram they can stop on track). It is a nice shade here and over all good stop to get out of a Marsej (Montepellier or Nîmes)

Perfect to go South to Nîmes, Montpellier with A9 or to go to Marseille or Aix en provence with A7 and A8

A lot of traffic going around, but mainly locals, so we (2) made a sign Nîmes, to continue from town to town. There we continued through Montpellier and Perpignan.

Lots of local cars but still i don't know a better place to leave the city towards Nîmes or further.

Most of the cars are from Montpellier at the gas station so I moved here with a sign Nîmes.

Good spot for going outside of city. From center is tram nr 1 to big mall near this petrol. Few cars stop but for seaside. I catched for Nîmes good ride after 20 m.

We tried the roundabout that is close but waited 45 min, so we moved to this spot (you need to cross 2 roads and walk a bit on the high speed way) but that's worth it to go to Nîmes or above

Really good spot to go to Nîmes or Montpellier. Unfortunately, we were going to the north (Lyon) so we had to refuse 3 times before someone stopped. If you go to the north, I think it's better to use a sign (Orange, Lyon...)

spot très compliqué pour ceux qui souhaitent aller vers nîmes/valence/montelimar. demandez aux gens a la station où mettez vous juste avant en bordure de route !

Had a sign Nîmes/Lyon and after almost 2 hours a guy stopped that was going to Nîmes Ouest but we decided it's better for me to look for something further at Aire d'Ambrussum (the biggest between Nîmes and Montpellier), but there are really no good alternatives to go North/East from Montpellier.

Good spot to go direction Quissac, Nîmes. There is enough space to stop just after the roundabout.

Lots of cars going to la Grande-Motte, not much to Nîmes.

Stand at the end of the bridge, many people turn on the highway to Nîmes/Lyon
