Going out of Athenes is like going out of Paris. Good luck
The spot was great. I manage to go on the highway 🙌🏼
There is some bus stop if you are stuck too.

We took the bus n°11 until the outside of giberville and then walked about 20 min to the gaz station.
A lot of people are going in direction of Paris. We started the hitch late during the afternoon and found a ride to Fécamp (close to Etretat) in about 2 hours.

a lot of cars are passing, a lot of them are going to suburbs close to the station. We took 2 bus from Paris to arrive there. We found a ride to Caen in about 30 minutes while asking to people.

Good spot to go Paris or Strasbourg, harder for Germany but it can be done.

We got a ride to Paris in 15minutes, there is a small spot to park after the police station but the cars are driving quite fast.

I was told by locals to try in here, but it's just a waist of time. People is busy and the area isn't the best place to stop. I got picked up after 1h and half, and the bro left me in a random gas station right before the airport where none of the cars were going north. So I managed to comeback to Paris and get a BlablaBus to Brussels. If you are in the countryside, try to hitchhike. If you are in Paris center, going to north, just trust me and pay for a cheap bus.

I agree that it's a really weird spot and it was mostly locals but there's space to stand at the side of the turnaround (if a bit windy, also no shelter, so not a spot for bad weather) and cars can stop too. With a sign to Paris we (2ppl) found a ride to Aulnay within half an hour and from there taking the train into Paris proper was pretty easy (and cheap.)

An acceptable starting point, given it's in a big city and pretty easy to reach. There isn't really a place to stop except the red light, but that worked just fine. It was mostly locals but we did end up getting a ride to a nearby reststop. Not ideal but at least we were on the highway. We were two people with a sign to Paris.

Usually a good spot if you want to go to Valenciennes (everyone seemed to be going there) and further down to Paris. I wanted to go to Lille though and it took me a full 3 hours to find someone. I did find a right directly to my destination though, they even did a detour for me, so that was super sweet. It was pretty late at that point (I waited from 7 to 10 pm so I imagine that it was getting late might have toggled a little pity)

Good spot to go Rennes with the A11 or Bordeaux with the A10. From Paris you have to take the train to Dourdan then a bus to Saint-Arnoult en Yvelines and walk like 20 minutes.

Un très bon spot pour aller direction Paris. J'ai été prise en moins de 5 minutes pour un trajet direct vers Paris.

We got kicked out of the toll station by the cops after 2 minutes, so we positioned ourselves at the end of the N4, on the zebra. My brother waited ~20 minutes with a sign PARIS and found a car to Saint Avold. I waited 5 minutes with a sign STRASB. and was taken very quickly.

Probably easy for Paris, but I wanted to go to Tours.
At least the staff had left the gate of their parking unlocked so it was easy to escape by foot.

With sign "Paris". After 88 minutes decided to take the tram to the south.

Got dropped of here from my last driver, came from Paris. It's not crowded here but there are some cars and after asking around I found a ride quickly that took me many kilometers South. In summer it's hot here so bring some water!
