Good spot. Big tolls so get your biggest sign ! ;) I went to Lyon and some people go up north (Paris/Oyonnax): you can still jump in there car and be dropped to a gas station before the roads split

Excellent spot pour aller vers le sud. Aire très accessible en rer D depuis Paris. Particulièrement intéressant pour la Bourgogne et Lyon

Most people were going to Paris, but I got extremely lucky and very soon found a couple taking me all the way to Düsseldorf, Germany! I arrived there when it was already dark so it was a plus that you can technically reach Orleans by public transport if you don’t have a tent nor want to spend the night outside. Also there is probably more traffic there in summer or during the day with people going further than Paris

I got a ride to go to Guéret but a lot of cars are going to Paris ! Great spot

Mix of amazing luck and a very solid spot, time for drivers to see you and nobody is just going home 5 minutes away, in 15 minutes 3 drivers stopped, two were going to Bellegarde, which we turned down, third was going straight to Paris and took us along

Not very practical to go there but not the worst. Takes a bit of time to find a car to Clermont, lots of people to Paris. But there's a lot of traffic.

Crowded area, accessible from Paris by taking RER C, bus then crossing the industrial area by foot. There’s a hole in the fence. Aire fréquentée, accessible depuis Paris par le RER C, bus puis traversée de la zone industrielle à pied. Il y a un trou dans le grillage.

Best spot to go North from paris, a lot of Belgium cars and people going to Lille.

No room for cars to stop at the end of the station, but they are still doing it. Refused one ride to Paris and one to Dijon before heading to Besançon with someone going to Montbéliard.

Not a perfect spot, since cars can only pick you up when the light is red, but I still got a ride all the way to Paris with a « Paris A1 » sign within 30 minutes.

Going out of Athenes is like going out of Paris. Good luck The spot was great. I manage to go on the highway 🙌🏼 There is some bus stop if you are stuck too.

We took the bus n°11 until the outside of giberville and then walked about 20 min to the gaz station. A lot of people are going in direction of Paris. We started the hitch late during the afternoon and found a ride to Fécamp (close to Etretat) in about 2 hours.

Il est préférable de se placer ici, il y a plus de places pour s'arrêter et les gens ont + le temps de vous voir et de vous analyser. Il semblerait que ce soit le meilleur spot pour quitter Rennes mais j'ai quand même attendu 1h30 au total, ça faisait longtemps que j'avais pas attendu si longtemps. J'ai commencé par me positionner au niveau du rond point avec un panneau "Paris". Beaucoup de gens m'ont fait signe pour dire qu'ils n'allaient pas la bas. Après j'ai mis "Paris, péage". Ensuite je me suis positionné sur la ligne droite d'insertion avec "Le mans, péage la gravelle". J'ai été pris jusqu'à ce péage après une demi-heure.

a lot of cars are passing, a lot of them are going to suburbs close to the station. We took 2 bus from Paris to arrive there. We found a ride to Caen in about 30 minutes while asking to people.

Good spot to go Paris or Strasbourg, harder for Germany but it can be done.

We got a ride to Paris in 15minutes, there is a small spot to park after the police station but the cars are driving quite fast.
