Behind a push after the roundabout, no really room for cars to stop safely. Not too heavy traffic im the evening. First car stopped instantly and I jumped in quickly as the car behind could not pass. Decent place to get a ride to Poitiers

Good spot for north rides. We asked directly at the pump (also work on parking lot) and in less than 10 minutes a nice guy took us to Poitiers. We were two with a dog on a friday lunchtime.

Good spot for entering the N10. We were two: one of us on the roundabout with a sign (N10: Poitiers) and the other waving at the cars coming from Angoulême (most of the flow). In 20 minutes a guy took us and brought us to a rest area on the N10. We were two with a dog.

We found quite easily a ride to poitiers sud, people are going to the south in direction Bordeaux, I recommend

Perfect spot to go to Poitiers, lots of people coming in and it's really easy to stop. Just be extra careful crossing the road.

Bad spot to go to Poitiers or Niort, people here are going more to La Rochelle, Bordeaux or Vendée area. In two hours I met only two people going to Poitiers, but they didn't have seat. Good spot to go to La rochelle, Bordeaux or la Roche sur Yon either.

Had à sign Poitiers and nobody took so we decided to up our thumb and someone nice who had nothing to do of their afternoon (bc blocked outside of home) helped us reach the nearest peage. We waited for 2 hours so I would not recommand

I waited about 5 minutes at the exit of the station, with a sign saying "A10", and got a lift to Chatellereault (near Poitiers). A few cars even stopped before that but were not able to help me. Many people heading to the south, and a lot of truckers are resting. Go ahead and ask them, many of them go to Spain ! 👍

NOT a good spot towards Paris. Yes we were 3 but we waited for 2 days. Most cars that stopped were going to Niort (south) and not toward Paris. Maybe a better idea to try north of Poitiers to go North.

Good spot towards Limoges, the Poitiers - Limoges road works well with a lot of roundabout with space to park

It is my place to leave Limoges, to Poitiers-Nantes, or could be just After the bridge also There is space to park, but the spot is not a top tier one, still after you've left Limoges and Couzeix it will be easy

Best place from Poitiers to Limoges, it really is an easy ride to go little by little to Limoges, after this place the road is straight, with roundabouts and always a lot a space to park

Here is the place to hitchhack towards Nantes if you come from Limoges at least. The last entry before it separates Nantes/Angers Take every ride in the direction of Nantes, because after you've left Poitiers, the road is straight to Nantes, with nice roudabouts to hitchhack (until Cholet)

From here on you're trip from Nantes to Poitiers really start, it finally become easy, every roudabout until Poitiers and even Limoges, is a nice place to hitchhack, i tried most of them. Here there is a lot of space, the direction is clear, you may go to Parthenay, no need for a sign at all

Worst place in France. Cholet towards Poitiers is the worst ride i never did in France, i was there quite a lot of time but now i take BlaBlaCar to Bressuire cause here you will wait 30min if you're lucky, but it will easy go to 1 hour, my worse is 2h30 here, i know girls who waited more than 2h before give up here, and a guy who waited 4 hours. The spot is not great but it is Ok to park, the problem is there are too much cars and most of them goes to Cholet center, maybe Nantes, La roche but not to Poitiers. So you're aiming to only a few cars in the whole lot Moreover there are 2 entries to the national road on the same roudabout...

I also tried this spot to go to Poitiers. But it is not great as well, you miss most of the cars, which are already on the ring, there is not si much traffic even if it is okay, but you won't arrive to Poitiers in one ride, or even to the horrible Cholet.

A lot of space to park, the problem is there is no good spot to go to Poitiers in Nantes. From here you will certainly arrive (i did it a lot of times) in la Haye Fouassiere or Vallet, at the entry of the national road, witch are better spots than here but still it is not really good. If you are lucky you may arrive in Cholet, but sorry, Cholet is the worst city to hitchhack, i now few people who've got their worst record of time waiting there (me too before it was beaten in Portugal) After Bressuire everything will go easy to Poitiers-Limoges, from now i take a BlaBlaCar to Bressuire everytime (Cholet is a trauma 😂)
