we wanted to go in the direction of Reims and found a ride after more than 2 hours. There is a lot of traffic if you want to go to the UK, Calais or Lille but not a lot of people are going to the East.

We got a ride in 5 minutes to go to the gas station of Toul and managed to catch a ride to Reims there. People can see you from before the red spot and easliy park at the avia station.

Good spot to go the east for Metz, Reims and Strasbourg. Lot of cars but some are local cars. Need to walk through the fields to get there but it’s okay

Lot of traffic, many people go to Paris. Tried to get a ride to Reims, but settled for one to Orléans instead.

très bon spot pour aller direction reims, se placer ici dès le matin pour récupérer les personnes qui vont travailler (se mettre sur la piste cyclade avant le rond point)

très bon spot pour aller à reims, de la place sur la droite il suffit de déplacer les plots, les voitures roulent lentement de ce côté là je recommande (faire attention à la police car cela est considéré comme sur l’autoroute donc amendable)

très mauvais spot pour aller direction reims, je conseille de monter jusqu’à mezieres si possible (a la rocade)

To get here from Paris take RER Bussy-Saint-Georges and then walk All. des Bois de Bussy to get on the south side of the highway, then just jump the fence and walk couple hundred meters along the highway to the Aire. We were 2 guys waiting near the exit from the Aire with a sign for Reims and a guy eating lunch approached us saying he could take us to exit 21 for Dormans but when he realised there were not many people passing by this peage he offered he could take us to Reims or to Epernay train station. We chose the latter and got a sightseeing tour of the city and region, then took a train to Reims.

Bon spot pour aller à reims voir metz. Ça marche bien de parler avec les gens à la station service sinon il y a peu de passage.

The spot is good but it was very late. Didn't find a care to go to Reims or Paris.

Good spot reachable by foot, but the traffic is little. There is a German police station on the other side of the road, so a lot of lorry drivers won't take you with them (it's illegal for them). Waited a long time, but finally somebody took me to Reims in one go.

I got taken there from Reims. Very little traffic, I thought I was gonna be there for long, but someone stopped and took me to a banlieu of Paris after about 15min

A bit long to get here but simple (just RER to Bussy St George and just walk, better than going to Vémars). A kind worker took us (we were 2) to the station near the end. We found an old couple who took us to Reims, good people. Good place to go east, I also want to try if by I can go to Brussel easier from Paris by starting here compared to Vémars maybe.

Waited around an hour with a sign that said Germany, changed it to Reims and got a ride in 45 minutes. It was raining which made the wait unpleasant and long.

The gas station itself is very bad, very little traffic. You will loose your time there. But its possible to hitchhike behind the station directly on the road. Its an old border crossing, there is a lot of place to stop and speed is limited so cars go slow. I got a lift from there to Reims quite easily.

Sorry, the last positive review was meant for another spot, I mixed it up. This spot is quite bad, it took us 2 hours to go 30min towards reims (from where we reached reims quickly. All cars only go to paris or beglium/netherlands but those were all full. I recommend you leave one stop early to find another station.

Harsh road going there by foot from Bussy-Saint-George, but I met a fellow Hitchwiki user there. We got a ride to Reims after about 15 min of her asking and me waiting with a sign. Spoiler : asking worked best...
