Really complicated to get out of Rouen for me, some people dont take the highway and leave you in random place Waited three hours, almost lost hope but someone took me fit the north Nb; my father was blocked two times while going to the Netherlands, in the exact same place for a whole day. Stay away if you can

Great spot. Just ask to the people, some are going west and some east, even some of them north Normandy to Granville. I waited for 45mn and then found two cars at the same time for Lille. I had a sign Rouen.

très mauvais spot pour aller à caen, personne n’y va. j’ai finalement décidé d’aller à rouen pour repartir de la bas (pris en stop en 5 min le matin)

très bon spot pour rejoindre l’autoroute direction rouen (a l’ombre et les voitures roulent lentement). venir aux heures de pointe (matin 9h ou 12-13h) pour avoir le plus de voiture possible (fonctionne quand même mais plus long).

Nobody's going to Caen There are a lot of cars and a lot of place to park but the people driving are unfriendly, i waited 2 hours, people don't say hello and don't smile, there are more chances that they make you a fuck 🖕, you should never go to Rouen it's one of the worst place to hitchhack in France

Stood with a sign for caen/rouen at the exit and it worked well! I tried walking around and asking but the place seemed to big and it was hard finding a central point to catch people. After 10 min with the sign i got a ride to the big gasstation after Caen

New favorite spot to leave Paris going to anywhere around Rouen, Caen, Mont Saint-Michel, Le Havre, etc... Red light just before the highway entrance with cars having to get passed Morainvilliers gas station on the highway. I tried twice and always got taken on the first try to the gas station. From here just follow gas stations on the highway on your path. Never had to wait more than 10 minutes usually making a stop at Bosgouet gas station right after Rouen to reach further in Normandie or even Saint Malo. Really easy to reach by foot, take the train to Poissy then bus 12 and walk.

waited one hour a bit behind the petrol station with a sign saying "France". After warming up for 5 minutes in the station I was able to get somebody to take me up to Rouen! was great

We were a couple trying to go to Normandy on a Saturday afternoon. A hitchhiker was there already and probably got a lift, didn't work for us though, we gave up after something like 2 hours. However at some point we were offered a lift to "Les Mureaux" which is actually good because it's after the 1st gas station. Not so easy for cars to stop (only one stopped). Maybe better to have a sign with A13 or gas station symbol than Rouen or Normandy.

J'ai d'abord essayé sous le pont, pendant 10 minutes, mais les voitures n'ont pas le temps et le climat sonore est franchement désagréable! J'ai bougé de 20 metres et au bout d'a peine 5 minutes des francais qui allaient a Rouen se sont arretés et m'ont déposé sur la route de Paris. C'était un lundi à midi.

It's along the D915, next to Gardening shop. Vehicle have place to stop on the bottom.(service road to the shop). I waited around 20min with a sign "Rouen" on friday end afternoon to find a direct ride.

i waited here for something like an hour or two, it was raining and i had to go to London before nightfall... i went to the parking of the centre commercial, asked a guy to drive me to the next service station, that got me another ride instantly to ROuen

advice to all who take this route to go to Calais/London, it took me about 4 hours to find a ride to Gatswick, most people passing through here go to paris or Rouen

got a ride to the next rest area, and then a direct one to rouen.

I often hitchiked to Paris/Rouen from this point. For the adventurous there is a train going to Phalempin (10min?) then you can walk to the petrol station (small road), it is a bit long but worth it (avoiding waiting a lifts from Lille)

I often hitchhike from there to Paris, pretty easy. Also good for going west (Rouen, etc.)

On of the roundabout with the more traffic in Caen, if you want to go to the motorway to Paris or Rouen, this is the best place.
