Aire avec du passage très mignonne avec un stand de M&Ms. Super aire pour aller en direction de la Bretagne, plutôt à éviter pour aller vers Tours. En 1h, 100 demandes, 0 voiture en direction de Tours. On est dans une voiture vers Angers. Alix et Mauve

Had to stay sleeping here,most of cars going in direction of Tours, also there’s police office just in front of peage so they gonna kick u out, better go in the opposite direction and wait at roundabout

By asking the drivers I found a car that goes to Clermont Ferrand, if u wanna go in the direction of Tours, u can climb the fence and go by the bridge to the other side

Had sign Tours/Bourges

A lot of cars but they are full, after waiting for about 10 minutes a guy stopped and proposed a ride to Paris, but I had Tours sign, eventually a truck guy took me a bit further

As a couple we spent 10 mins looking for the way north (A10 / Limoges/ Tours). The spot is not ideal (two lines), but shady at late afternoon and there is one place to stop.

One advice : go back to Mestia ASAP, most of the people go for tours in the morning but everyone left between 2 and 3 PM. I hitchhiked at 4 PM and there was no cars in the parking lot, but it was full when I came... Anyway. Got a lift to Mestia by a gorgeous Russian family. Spasibo Alex, Galina and Maria!

We (2 people) found a ride to Nancy after 25min. It's possible for the cars to stop at the side. People were going to Tours and Orleans also

We got a ride direct to the center of tours on a sunday morning. The space to stop is good but there is not a lot of traffic

Nous voulions aller vers Lyon en venant de Poitiers mais très peu de voiture s’arrête sur cette aire. Nous avons finalement réussi à trouver une personne qui nous a déposé dans le centre de Tours.

Nous louons vers Potiers puis Tours

Très bon spot pour Paris vu que tout le monde y va. Par contre je descendais direction Clermont-Ferrand/Lyon, quasiment personne n'allait à Tours. Mais j'ai quand même fini par trouver, pour Lyon !

Mixed feelings about this spot. It's a service area/gas station/restaurant and onramp combination but you can't cover both. Minimal traffic and most people ignored me (not even talking to me) and busses/tours/minivans won't take you. Also most people just head to the closeby scenic areas. I ended up standing little further on the onramp and a lovely truck driver took me all the way to Kunming. It's a hilly ride, pretty views and great road to hh. Be aware: (Car) Traffic further west is suuuuper light. At some points almost zero. Maybe the newer highway is better (more cars, even less trucks) if you can't find a ride all the ways. Trucks use this highway tho but can be super slow. Good luck!

It's not on this map but it's a service area/restaurant/gas station. Lot's of traffic but mostly tours (busses or minivans) which take tourists around. I did not have luck hh them. A nice family took me for a few kilometers. As usual: Asking around works the best

Good spot for going defection Paris!! We had a dog and Two big backpacks. And a older couple took us almost to Tours Ask people and write a sign. Have a big smile and be friendly!

We wanted to go to Paris and was taken to Tours in a Truck.

Waited 3 hours total, half there and the other half at the next roundabout before the highway, trying to go to Tours. Only when i got rid of my sign, 3 people stopped but were not going in my direction. The spot itself is good i guess it was just not my lucky day

Good spot to reach Poitiers, Tours, Orleans

Crowded area, most people are heading toward Nantes, less go to Angers, few to Tours. We wanted to go to Tours. We settled for Angers after waiting for 5 min. Aire fréquentée, la plupart des gens vont à Nantes, un peu vers Angers, moins vers Tours. Direction Angers pour nous en 5 min.
