Woman and man we stayed 2 hours from 9 till 11 to Troyes. It was little traffic and mostly local traffic I guess. Not good if u go far distance

Many people heading for Metz, we got a lift to Troyes after around 30 minutes. Lots of English people heading south east for skiing holidays but often don't have room due to equipment!

Direction: Belgium
Not much traffic, they slow down for the toll booth. There's plenty of room to stop. Waited 4 1/2 hours in the rain, 2 cars stopped for us, but where going in the other direction. After that no one stopped for hours. Gave up and walked to Troyes.

Worked very fast for me in direction Dijon. If you are on the highway coming from Troyes and everybody is going in the direction of Metz you can ask somebody to drop you here, as more people will be going south

Just at the end of a town, where houses are finishing and vast fields are starting, there was brilliant place to tich hike. Got a lift in less than 10 min. Direction Troyes.

The place is good. We were standing beneath the bridge for a shade, the cars were slow and there was a place to stop. But it depends where you are going. We wanted to go to south (Troyes), and waited 2 hours without any result. Meanwhile there were 3 cars which stopped and all of them were going to either Strasbourg or Metz, so if you wanna go eastwards, it is really good spot.

We were 2 guys in direction of Troyes, and waited for 2h but finally found a direct car. Most of the traffic is going out at the next exit.

3 directions from this spot : Nancy (A31), Dijon/Lyon (A31), Troyes/Paris (A5).
You need a sign to indicate the direction you want to go !
/!\\ Careful, do not indicate ""Paris", it can fear people that do not go into Paris, but of course they can drop you smwh before ! Prefer maybe a "Troyes/Ile de France" indication.

To go to the A5 : Troyes, Chaumont, Langres, Vesoul, Mulhouse.
You can reach easily Brunoy from Paris with the RER D.
30' rolling walk from the train station to the N6 spot or 15' with the D local bus ("pyramide" stop).

I waited here to go to Dijon and an other time to Troyes. The spot is good but I waited for a long time each time

There was no safe place to stop at the toll so we walked till the nearest reasonable place, just before the junction between the direction of Reims/Troyes and Paris where we could stop somebody safely (heading to Reims).

Last service station before the cars drive either south (Troyes/dijon/Lyon) or east (Verdun/Metz/Strasbourg). Very good to talk to the drivers.

Certainly the best place in Châlons-en-Champagne if you're going to Troyes by national road. Stand in the exit of the gas station, there is enough space for the cars to stop (even those that don't go into the gas station). I've been there twice. Misteriously doesn't work when it's rainy, but under good weather it's very good.
