Hitchhiking to GER. 2 people m&f. Waited in the afternoon, a local took us infront of Valence

VERY nice spot, many many many cars, and got an easy ride to Valence, could have gone all the way to Lyon and Paris tho, but it wasn't where i was trying to get

Good spot but the amount of space to stop depends on how many cars are parked. There were multiple free spots when I arrived. Also, there is an organic supermarket nearby that I went to to get a sign and they were super kind to offer a really good one, a pen and a water refill. After 3min I was taken to a good service station before Valence

Asked a loot if cars, but none were willing to take even short distance. Our sign said Valence, but no success.

Probably the best way to go to the A7 from Valence. A lot of locals going to pont de l isere, where is a big has station

If u are going south it’s a very hard spot, first day we asked a lot of people but they were full or going different direction, on second day we asked for about 1hour to get to valence

Aiming SOUTH, headed up to go Dow towards Valence, ok spot to pull over near pedestrian crossing

Some place for cars to stop. A city bus can get you there from the center of Valence if you prefer crossing the city because someone can drop you there or any other reasons.

Excellent pour aller vers Valence (5 voitures en 30 minutes) mais mauvais pour Grenoble : j’ai fini par marcher jusqu’au péage.

Quite good spot to go to Valence (most of the car go south). Not that much cars but they can stop before the toll. White male.

Really good spot to go to valence and Lyon from Crest, people see you, they have the place to stop. I waited 3 minutes

I usually wait less than 5' here, with a sign "prochaine aire" : people don't go far but will drop you at the next stop on the A7. Great for going south. Just be sure you're clear about where you're going first, once ended up passing through grenoble though I was going to Valence, but hey, I got where I wanted in the end.

J'ai demandé à un mec qui faisait de l'essence et il m'a pris direct direction Valence. L'aire n'a pas l'air très fréquentée mais il était 17h30 un lundi. Y a moyen de marcher en 15mn de l'aire Sud à Nord, mais y a une petite zone interdite à passer au Nord de l'autoroute. Il suffit de contourner les barrières. On m'a pas embêté mais voilà.

facile de trouver pour valence, y'a de la place pour s'arrêter (arrêt de bus)

Took quite long, cant remember the exact time but probably 1-2 hours. But then I got a good lift to Valence

I was on the side in the grass, between the parking and the road, there is place for cars to stop and it's safe. Lots of cars but I waited 1 hour until a nice person stopped, maybe because it was early and people were going to work and were late ? My ride took me to the huge peage before Lyon (St Quentin-Fallavier), where it was a bit dangerous because I had to go inside the peage. So maybe try to go further than Lyon to avoid this ! Also this spot leads to 2 different directions, Lyon and Valence, so it's better with a sign I guess.

Very good for direction Valance (had more than 7 people stop in 15 minutes going in that direction). Horrible in direction Grenoble. Ended up getting a ride to the next gas station direction Valence (Air de Bayanne) and crossed to the other side of the highway.

Hard spot to go north direction Valence/Lyon. Should be quite easy to go to Nimes or direction Marsaille. I couldn't manage for my life to get anyone who was going past Nimes in my direction. Christmas days, lots of full cars and pouring rain. I gave up and got a ride into the city of Montpellier (which was easy).

Lots of local traffic but it is quite possible to find a car to the A7 (Aire de Portes les Valence, south of Valence). But I already found a car to Montpellier or even Toulouse.
