someone dropped me off at frankfurt ausfahrt but we're going to aachen i think

I haven't hitchhiked here (yet), but on this newly built highway entrance, cars drive slowly and have enough space to pullover. Directions Eindhoven, Ruhr Area, Aachen, Liège, Brussels, Ghent...

Got a ride to Aachen almost instantly

Plan was to go to Aachen, got a ride in a delivering vehicle

Guy and girl heading to Cologne. Waited at the roundabout by the exit with a sign saying Germany / Köln and got a lift to Aachen in 5 minutes.

Great spot to go to the highway A40. There was a emergency lane where the cars Can safely stop. We had a sign A40 and a teacher took us (2 people and a dog+2backpacks) to the nearest big gas station on the A40. We are heading to Aachen…….

This was a good spot for the Aachen direction. You can be clearly seen, and the cars are slow from the crossroad. They can also easily stop at the bus station.

Not the greatest spot. I needed to go in the Aachen direction, but I just needed to get on the main roads, so after a few minutes, I realized I just needed to get out of here, and Librar is fine.

I asked around and got a car to Aachen, although I got off at Köln. There is an okay amount of traffic.

Stood next to the traffic light going to Liege, got picked up very quickly. If you’re going south you could make a sign for both Aachen and Liege

Arrived after sunset, the second guy I asked drove me straight to Aachen

I stood at the roundabout on the end. There was a lot of traffic. Had a sign saying Köln. Then a guy took me past it to a station in the direction of Frankfurt. Good spot. You can get here by bus from Aachen very easily, the bus station is right next to the station.

Not a lot of people going to Köln, but you can get to Aachen pretty quickly and go from there. There is space to stop but not that many cars going through.

Tried going in the direction of Aachen. But had no luck. Maybe it was because it was a sunday. Its probably better to take a bus and a train to the first gas station in the Aachen direction, its a short walk from the train station.

Not that much traffic, but it was a sunday. Still got a lift to Aachen very quick. Good spot, lots of trucks, and a few belgian cars.

Waited for 90 minutes towards Aachen, moderate traffic, only half of them going westbound. There is a place for cars to stop.

We had Aachen on our sign and a couple took us 32km towards our goal. There was a lot of traffic, maybe we just got unlucky or people were not travelling in that direction
