A lot of cars and place to stop, visibility okay, waited for 35min and only one car stopped which was going to Augsburg

Very good spot to go towards Augsburg, Ulm or Stuttgart. I waited with sign on Stuttgart aprox. 45 minutes, but plenty of cars stopped before and offered me Augsburg. Eventually I went to Ulm with a brand new Porsche (just couldn’t say no to that). Cars are going slowly, can see you clearly a d have a plenty of space to stop.

I did not wait long until a family in a van picked me up. I wanted to go to Frankfurt/cologne area but they took me along the way to Augsburg

Actually this place is dope. I just had trouble finding a lift directly to Munich. I denied 7 or 8 cars for Ulm or Augsburg.

This is a great spot for hitchhiking! My original plan was to hitchhike to Kaiserslautern via Nuremberg. After just five minutes, a car stopped, but I turned it down since it was only a very short-distance ride. Twenty minutes later, I got lucky with an 80 km ride to Augsburg, which I gladly accepted and decided to adjust my route for the day. This spot is also excellent for night hitchhiking from Munich.

Good --> Augsburg Bad --> Schongau

Very good towards Lindau/ Switzerland. Not helpful to get on the B17 towards Augsburg. For Augsburg, wait at the parking space near the big roundabout (St 2054).

Got a lift to augsburg in 1 hour. Try to stay on the A8 instead of A96. Good spot!

coming by the tram 17 to Amalienburgstrasse then take the bus 143 to Blutenburg station. get off and walk 200 metres until you see a KFC (fast food). direction north-west : AUGSBURG-STUTTGART. started to hh together with a german who wants to be in Augsburg. the second driver take us both. i was with a sign: AUGSBURG-STUTTGART. time of waiting: 7 minutes. give me the ride for 218 km the road it was under construction on other side-first half of July 2012.

august 2014; we had lots of stops for Augsburg or Stuttgart but our destination were Berlin; we finally took a car to the next gas station on A9, Fürholzen.

Weekday, end of august, 3pm. Average traffic, lots of cars full, found a car to Augsburg after 30min (wanted to go to Stuttgart and then France).

I am originally from Augsburg and this is my favourite spot to start hitchhiking westwards. Ask people and you get a ride to Pforzheim, Stuttgart or Ulm in 10-40 min.

Waited 40 min. with a "MÜNCHEN / AUGSBURG" sign and got a ride directly to Augsburg where I wanted to go. Only good to get a ride south (B27) or east (A8).
