On a attendu 1h, aucune voiture ne s’est arrêtée. On s’est déplacées à un autre point un peu plus loin près du Lidl où une voiture nous a pris 30 min plus tard, mais sur une courte distance jusqu’à une aire d’autoroute pour qu’on puisse aller à Munich.

Waited cca 2 hour, finally couple from Linz offered me a ride. I had sign Munich and Linz

We as couple tried to catch a ride to Innsbruck, the place turned to be a horror for us, we tried very long time but there were not so many cars in this direction. Someone told us that this is not the most common route to Innsbruck and people going through Munich go rather another way, I believe he was right because this is how it exactly looked for us. Even though it was not summer many cars were fully packed.

early morning took a bit but ended up getting a lift past würzburg and ulm, lots of people going nürnberg munich, someone even to Graz

met a friend there then tried hitchhicking together, only few going towards salzburg many to innsbruck and to the south of munich (BUT Sunday afternoon)

fantastic place to hitch from. was previously stuck in the center of munich but was possible to take a train/bus to the nearby town and hike into the autogrill.

apparently this gas station is the last cheap gas for people heading north into germany from the guy who picked us up the previous night. got a ride to munich but due to time he had to drop us off in the center (two males)

Good stop with plenty of cars. Most of them go to Munich or further but there are some that go in the direction of Austria as well

As the other review says. I tried to go west (Switzerland), but it didn’t work at all. Most of the cars are going to Munich or further south to Austria. I gave up eventually and got picked up quickly after I changed my sign to Munich

The best spot to leave Prague towards Nurnberg. 3 cars stopped and offered me a ride to Pils, but I waited for a German car and got lucky. Guy took me close to Munich.

Tried this spot last year and quickly got a ride to Michendorf. This time, we were offered a ride all the way to Leipzig by a guy going to Munich. He was local, so I suppose we got lucky. A good spot with ample space to stop, but a bit of a hike from the city center. The bus stop Deutscher Wetterdienst (also along the Michendorfer Chausee, closer to the center) might also be an option, though we didn’t have any luck there (probably because it was getting late).

Great spot towards Munich. Made a sign for Munich and some people in the parking lot waved me over since they were also going to Munich!

someobody dropped us there and said its a great spot for munich but hell nah. not many cars (close to bigger road), cars go fast, no shadow. we gave up because it was getting too hot! if you walk south, after the junction there is a bus stop to mainburg. maybe we could have tried there but we took the bus.

Not the busiest stop but there is a Starbucks and small restaurant there. Another person tried to get into Nürnberg but struggled a lot since most people who go there don’t stop right before. A lot of people were going towards Munich or to the west of Austria. I found a super sweet older lady who was going to Slovenia and she even dropped me off at the train station in Wels.

Contrary to others, I did not have the best experience here. Was actually looking for a ride towards Regensburg Passau but only people to Munich stopped. In the end someone brought me to Ingolstadt.

ig it’s a good spot if you’re trying to reach munich. for vienna not so much

Very chill spot. Right by the entrance to the highway and right next to a shopping plaza where people can pull. The locals are very friendly, always smiling and waving at you. Hitchhiked pretty late too, 6 pm on a Thursday. Was heading to Munich.

Nice spot if you’re trying to get into Munich. I had a local pickup and took me 40 min to the other side of the city. Was very nice. Idk if ppl need a good spot to get inside the city but hope this helps.
