I arrived here when it was getting dark and was giving up hope to arrive to Osnabrück. Luckily I found someone and he went out of his way to bring me to Osnabrück.

Tiny gasstation little traffic and many going north to Hannover/Gottingen. I had to go to Osnabrück. I did get offered a ride to Berlin tho.

Got a ride to Kassel. Don't take this road if you want to go to Osnabrück, as I was, Dortmund route is better I guess.

Okay spot, but not very great. Best to ask around, I stood at the end of both ways to catch all the cars leaving the spot. Got a ride that went to Hamburg but I got off before Osnabrück

The waiting time was over two hours because many cars were full, but I managed to get a 150 km ride to an Osnabrück gas station.

OK spot. Very likely to catch traffic in direction of Osnabrück. Although there is also much local traffic

Decent spot if you want to go in direction of Osnabrück (with one stop in between for us)

Got offered a ride to Osnabrück almost immediately, but we had to wait for the car to be charged. In the meantime, we found a ride all the way to Hamburg. Good spot for travelling far into Germany!

not a whole lot of traffic tuesday evening and not much place to stop in either. still good for osnabrück/netherlands direction

After waiting 30min for a hitch to Osnabrück it tooked me 5min to get one in the direction of Oldenburg.

it's not worth trying, all traffic is for the city, tried other spots nearby too but didn't work. (it was dark already which definitely didn't help) ended up asking someone to take me to the bus stop "Osnabrück, Kurt-Schumacher-Damm"

i agree with karo, it really is not that good as it (probably) used to be. easy to get there from Berlin: Michendorf bahnhof, then 30 mins on foot. on a monday morning after waiting for 4 hours i got a ride to Osnabrück

Highway service stations are always good, didn't take me long to get to the service station after Osnabrück, and from there to Köln. Possible to walk through from the nearby village, but it's a little far.

We liked that place a lot. Wee took train+bus from Osnabrück Main Station to Lengerich Abzw. Tecklenburg, from there it was a 10 Minutes Walk. We got a lift to Duisborg after 15 minutes, without using a sign.

Wanted to go (Me+girl) to Berlin (over Hannover) on a Tuesday 15:00. Waited 3 h. Then changed plans to Hamburg because everyone was driving there and waited till 20:00. Then we sadly drove back (over Osnabrück) to Essen. Really bad for East over Hannover. Definitely okay for further north.

even to find a ride inside to osnabrück was very hard ! even that it was RUSH HOUR -:. was so hard to get from there to find a way to osnabrück

Very good spot for going east-Poland, Leipzig etc. Good to go north to A1 (Osnabrück, Bremen, Dortmund,...) or to the netherlands even

We just got out of our previous ride and we already found a new one, who brought us all the way to a gasstation near Osnabrück.

It was a Sunday in February, so I guess that explains my long waiting time, too - - wanted to go to the Netherlands via Osnabrück, but it was extremely hard to find people not following the A2 but going the A30. It's a really perfect place to go to cities like Dortmund (other hitchhiker I met there had to wait for only 30min that day) also on a Sunday there were many many dutch and polish people passing going back to the Netherlands, if they are not full, they will take you! In this case it is a very good place for getting direct rides to the Netherlands! Wait for someone that can take you far! I was lucky enough to find some dutch people taking me to the doorstep!

Pretty good place to go east. I was here in the dark on an early Monday morning in January (during rush hour) and didn't get sent away. Found a ride to Osnabrück in about 20-30 minutes.
