Waited quite a long time with the intention of going to Stuttgart or Frankfurt. Got picked up eventually going to Ulm. Would say its an okay spot.

Waited for 2 hours with some cars being unable to take us because we were with 3 people. Originally the plan was ulm or Munich. The amazing guy that eventually picked us up went to Lindau via ulm. Lindau is a village on lake Constance, the biggest lake in Germany and we decided to go along.

if you want to go to ulm or south it's an okay spot, not a lot of cars and traffic tho. we wanted to follow the A8 but decided to change plans after 2h because we couldn’t find a car going there.

Spent an hour here with a sign saying "Ulm/Stuttgart", first possible ride after 30 mins but didn't take up on the offer because there wasn't a good spot where they will eventually drop me off. 2nd ride wanted to drive me to Ulm directly but decided to join him to Sigmaringen due to it being closer to my end destination. Enough traffic to get a decent chance for a ride, a chance came every 30 mins.

High Traffic Area, T intersection. Was able to get two rides in the same location within 30 mins. Holding a sign "Ulm/Stuttgart." 1st ride had to return me to the spot because they got a work call forcing them back to Munich. 2nd ride drove me to a high way gas station closer to Ulm.

Actually this place is dope. I just had trouble finding a lift directly to Munich. I denied 7 or 8 cars for Ulm or Augsburg.

Sign "Stuttgart," people mostly drive to Ulm from there. If you can hitchike from Ulm

Good! you have show your signs en smile and you’ll get a ride. The cars can stop easily on the side of the road or in the parking lot of the company next to the road. We were with 3 girls and we got a ride to Ulm in less than 10 minutes

Just under the bridge to get cars going south of Ulm. There is enough place to stop.Maybe try writing “B28” or “B30” to get to the right road.

A lot of cars even in the morning (7:00). I got a ride to Stuttgart after waiting less than an hour with a sign saying ULM.

Very hard to get to Austria and Germany. We waived the German flag for almost 5 hours at the exit road on Sunday afternoon and even though every third car was german, it didn't help us. 5 or 6 people offered us rides elsewhere or to west Germany, but not Ulm or Munich. The best thing you can do if you are going in the same direction is to have a sign for Vaduz and get to the highway rastplatz there.

For us it didn't look like a good spot but eventually turned out to be a great one. We went in direction West and got a ride to Ulm. We waited behind the roundabout exit to the motorway, there's a little space to stop for the cars. By standing here you have cars within reach both from the gas station and from the road AIC10, which is a good amount. Several local people, they are very kind. Don't need a sign, accept rides even for just 50 km. 2 persons (me and my girlfriend), Saturday, 10 mins.

Not so much space for cars to pull over in direction of Ulm. In direction north you probably have to stand at the traffic light, which is not such a good spot but many cars and trucks going there in the morning
