Quickly got picked up all the way to Budapest

In direction Budapest it’s probably better than any bus stop around because you get all the traffic. There are two lanes so cars can stop kinda safely

There is good space, truck drivers can see u when stop for chech. Also there is space for car drivers to stop. 2 Ukrainian guys take me a ride to Budapest center. Trafic is not really insane.

Difficult to get a ride to Budapest. Probably best to look for Slovak plates and get a ride to “ASFINAG Raststation Göttlesbrunn”. There you’ll see more Hungarian plates.

Not a lot of room for cars to stop but traffic not intense so ok. Got a lift to Budapest after using the thumb for 3 minutes! Thanks Olshi. You can also try to get closer to the highway from here I guess. Cheers guy

Basic resting station, quite possible to get a long ride until budapest or further since most of the traffic east is on the road

there is no space for cars to stop for budapest direction. After 10 minutes i thought it is pointless to be here and walked to the gas station few km down the road.

for direction gyor/budapest there is not really good spot to stand but it is ok. I got a lift to gyor quite fast but maybe i was just lucky

Just ask people for a ride, it's not that hard to find a ride to Gyor or Budapest

It seems to be a pretty good place to hitchhiking in the direction of Budapest. There is a gas station, a large parking lot for which trucks and passenger cars stand. The station can be reached directly from the E60 road. We tried to catch transport from there to Budapest (from where we wanted to go further towards Belgrade) we were lucky and we came across a driver from Serbia who easily offered us a ride to Belgrade. In general, the traffic is quite high and a lot of locals and tourists. (There is also a Tesla charging station so maybe you can hitchhiking a Tesla)

We were walking this road because we had previously tried to catch a hitchhiking from the airport (it is very difficult to do it - no one wants to stop) so we wanted to walk to the entrance to the A4 road near the city of Fischamend when suddenly a lady stopped near us and asked if we were going towards Budapest and if we wanted to go with her because she was going to Gyor. He must see the box with the inscription "Budapest" that we had attached to the backpack. In general, it seems to us that when entering the A4 road, catching a hitchhiking should go smoothly - we were just very lucky

We were heading towards Budapest but few people were going towards Hungary. More people are heading to a nearby airport. So we caught a ride to the airport and from there we will try to catch a hitchhiking to Budapest.

A good place if you want to go towards Italy, France and Germany or the Czech Republic. We were heading towards Budapest and we had some difficulties to find someone who was driving in that direction. But a lot can depend on what time you hitchhiking. On the plus side, a lot of trucks and quite a lot of passenger car traffic at the gas station. A good place to stop/accommodate. There is a shower, laundry, hostel.

One of the best places to hitchhike near Katowice. We planned to go in the direction of Ostrava in the further Budapest and we managed to catch the driver to Vienna. Overall, a great place to catch a foot in the direction of Wroclaw, Berlin, Vienna. It is worth going to the parking lot and asking people where they are going - a lot of individual drivers and trucks.

We are heading towards Krakow -> Budapest. A lot of cars, good contact with people - they see the inscription, they react. Unfortunately, a lot of local drivers - you have to count on the fact that one of them will give you a drive to a better location - e.g. MOP Grójec. From where it should be easier to go to catch something to Krakow.

We got off here by accident. Our destination was Budapest. There was very little traffic, so after 40 minutes we decided to take the bus to Rabka Zabojnia.

Hitched a ride in truck all the way to Budapest! The spot has perfect visibility a lots of space to stop.

Busy Petrol station, but no one was going towards Romania. Many people to Budapest though. We ended up going to the other side of the roundabout which seems to be very good if you want to go east
