We waited about 1.5h and then got a ride close the the Serbian border. Probably the best spot to get out of Budapest in direction of Serbia. Imo its better to stand at the entrance of the station than at the exit.

There was not a lot of traffic and most of it was going towards budapest but found one truck going pas kosice so he was my savoiur and took me exactly in my direction. But shoudl eventually work if you are going north from here. Going budapest shoudl be very easy.

Went there to catch the morning work traffic and trucks. Was trying to go in Romania direction but as most of the cars are going towards Budapest we just decided to go to the next gas station towars there and cross the highway. It worked pretty well as we founf a ride towards debrecen pretty easy.

1 man 1 woman. Great spot to head south from Budapest. We got a ride quickly to Szeged. The woman even came to us because she saw us asking around

Waited for almost two hours. Eventually a taxi driver took us to the airport for free where we instantly got a ride. I don’t recommend this spot even though there are some people going to Budapest or Bratislava

Great spot for Zagreb but nobody goes towards budapest. We had to wait 2 hours for a guy to take us to a better spot

Go a ride to Budapest

Maybe we were unlucky. Only local traffic and nobody going to the highway. After nearly two hours someone took us 20 minutes to Hungary where we took a train to Budapest.

Basically dead spot because all the traffic is on the highway. Avoid going there if you want to go to the direction of Budapest! Got dropped off here just to wait for two hours and finally took a ride back to Kosice

the spot is awesome for budapest u cant imagine full of space, full of traffic, and cars are slow i got took in 4 cars to budapest at lunch in august perfect spot i’m not joking 😌😌😌

idk why but no one try that spot before ahahah btw it’s a really good place, full of people, toilet and u can ask people in their cars i found a ride to hatvan just before budapest just after 3 cars asking good luck it’s gonna be easy🫡

not a very good spot for me actually i tried on a week day to reach budapest but no success, i leave my big sign here ahahah i’m sure u’ll find it a guy took me after 2h to the next gas station just before hungary but it was though good luck that spot is not very very good for long distance, slovaquia is hard for hitchhiking 🫠

The Place in theory is great, the only problem is the people coming here, literally no one stopped, if they stopped it was just to show you the finger or to try to hit you with their cars. I tried with different signs (Maribor, Ljubljana, Zagreb, Budapest, Wien, Graz) and no one was going anywhere apparently. Multiple Italians coming by, I asked them as well and the majority of them told me that they would've picked me up if I was a pretty woman. I've never had such a bad experience hitchhiking
