a few people stopped for me who were going towards waterford til I made a sign for fermoy, I didn't love this spot cars are pretty fast but it gets you out of cork alright

CORK! not loads of pullover space but the tiny shoulder did it for me and it'll do for you too

made a big leap (wink wink) from here to Innishannon, big church car park to pull in, everyone going towards cork will be driving through here and is medium slow

not loads of traffic, cars are fast, there's a bit of space to pull into the driveway here behind you, we signed for cork I'd generally recommend to avoid being dropped here but it's not the end of the world if you do?

best ride of my life. had a sign for cork but was asking people for a ride to fermoy. mostly people said they were going in the opposite direction or were locals, but there are loads of cars here. ask at the entrance by the pumps. i lucked out with someone going all the way to ballydehob but should be fair to expect a ride to cork in good time as well.

Huge service station on the highway before the Limerick Cork Split, cars going everywhere we got a lift to Limerick almost immediately

Great if heading to Mallow or Cork. Petrol station now open, but cheaper places to shop in charleville.

The spot is good. Enough space for the cars to stop. The traffic is not so busy but you will definitely get a lift to the way to Cork.

Me and my girlfriend waited only for 3/4 minutes here and we got a ride to Cork.

If you want to go to west cork, this is a nice spot, . Unfortunately, sometime, there's very few car, so you can wait a long time ...

A bit of a walk from town, but max 15 minutes but its worth it. Good place for cars to stop toward Cork city.

Good spot towards Skibbereen and Cork city. Hard shoulder to stop, good traffic usually and the cars are not very fast. Used this place several times and the average waiting time was ~20 minutes.

Good place towards West Cork, theres an entrance of an old factory or something which is great for cars. Got a lift in seconds.

Got a lift here and the next on to Cork pretty easy. However consider its the motorway and it's not really allowed to do.

It's on the motorway under a bridge so you have a dry place if it's raining. Traffic toward Cork, Limerick etc. It was easy to get a lift.

There's a small bay normally for roadworks but a car can stop there. You can get the bus 13 from the city close to here and the traffic from this lane goes to Cork, Limerick etc. Otherwise it's pretty difficult around the motorway.

It's really really nice place to find a ride to Cork. I stood at entrance of petrol station with sign ,no more 5 min after a driver picked me. You can pay 3.05 Euro to take bus 69 from city centre to here.
