One of the first really good spots south of Dublin to hitch south. Could be better with more long distance traffic.rating: 4/5, wait: 10 min, ride: 8 km ↓

Seems like a good spot to go to Dublin. But I waited a loooong time, a lot of people went that way but NOBODY stopped. Terrible.rating: 1/5, wait: 90 min

Average to spot to join west-Dublin by the circular. Small space to hitchhike but possibilities to meet a pilote from the airport ! Temps d'attente : 35min

One time got lucky, and driver offered a lift while we were drawing the sign.Second time, I was by myself, and took a bit longer... and the driver only left me up to one of the bypass roundabouts (from where I got a lift all the way to Dublin)

Plenty of space, and cars are going to be going slow after the roundabout - perfect for going to Carrick, or Sligo. Just go to the other side of the roundabout for Dublin!―Anonymous, June 2016

Space for cars to pull over but visibility is not amazing... direction Dublin, Tullamore, etc.(If going to Dublin you'd be better checking the spot I added nearer to the motorway)

Hard shoulder. Space to pull over. Cars going slowly after roundabout. Most cars will be heading taking M6 towards Dublin.―Anonymous, June 2016

Loads of Trucks! I was heading to Ireland, I just talked to every truck driver chilling at the parking place. Most of them were going Far south. (London even Dover) Eventually an Irish trucker took me all the way to Dublin, He even payed the boat ticket for me.―Erth Walker, November 2015

Great place to go to either Limerick city, M18 Ennis/Galway or M7 Dublin. A sign might help because drivers might be going in any one of the 3 directions. Its almost the last stop before the motorway starts.―Darach, September 2015

Petrol station for BlessingtonIt's easy to get there from the City Center by Luas Red Line towards Saggart and then on foot for a while.
Another option: catch Dublin bus nr 65 to stop nr 2576 - Citywest Road, Blessington Road

It was during the week (in the morning) when I tried to get a lift to Dublin. It was damn windy and I froze terribly. After approx. 1 1/2 hours a nice lady took my finally halfway to Dublin! This was the second car the stopped. The other one just wanted to make fun of me haha―Sattleryan, April 2015
