its a grand spot direction dublin, loads of room to pull in after the roundabout but i was unlucky waiting a while. careful where you stand there isnt an awful lot of room.

at first thought cars are going a bit fast but theres a good stretch to pull in before the turn to dublin. mostly dublinbound drivers here but signed for youhhal and got a lift quick as that.

signed for dublin and got lucky with a lift quickly. seems like a good spot at first because drivers can see you from across the crossroads but cars are driving too fast here from the dual carriage way to slow safely, and cars turning from the perpendicular roads are mostly locals. try after the roundabout on the motorway or at the traffic lights before the clinic to the south.

Not the best place in terms of having space for cars to stop, but the kind Irish people never disappoint. For direction A5 (Strabane, Omagh, Dublin)

2ppl, wednesday afternoon. We came from Dundalk, wanting to get a ride towards Limerick. Our strategy was to find a ride from someone going past Dublin to Red Cow (a Luas stop, on the west side of Dublin), take the Luas and then continue from there hitchhiking west to Limerick. The strategy worked quite well, as we found that person really soon. We asked around at the entrance of the station.

One of the first really good spots south of Dublin to hitch south. Could be better with more long distance traffic.

There is a petrolstation with toilets and all that food stuff. Really kind people around there! A truck driver took me to Dublin.

Was very lucky, walked here and a Swedish sailboat was just leaving for Dublin, so I got a passage across straight away.

don't listen to the other spots, this is THE BEST hitching spot to go to Dublin small space to pull over before roundabout: walk few metres before that and sign from there, very busy sunday mid-day

Seems like a good spot to go to Dublin. But I waited a loooong time, a lot of people went that way but NOBODY stopped. Terrible.

the green just in front of the cafe is a good spot for hitching towards Dublin, one lift often gets you as far as Kilmacanogue where public transport can be got...

I know the area, this is not really a good hitching spot unless you are heading up in Dublin mountains

We got a ride from here directly to the Airport of Dublin.

Great spot towards Dublin, Athlone etc, but hard to reach without having hitch-hiked before. Waiting time : 5min

Average to spot to join west-Dublin by the circular. Small space to hitchhike but possibilities to meet a pilote from the airport ! Waiting time : 35min Spot correct pour poucer, l'espace est maigre, bien qu'il y ait un petit parking. Le trafic est dense mais peu de gens s'arrte. Bon pour rejoindre la rocade et Dublin West pour dcoller vers l'Ouest du pays ! Temps d'attente : 35min

One time got lucky, and driver offered a lift while we were drawing the sign. Second time, I was by myself, and took a bit longer... and the driver only left me up to one of the bypass roundabouts (from where I got a lift all the way to Dublin)

Plenty of space, and cars are going to be going slow after the roundabout - perfect for going to Carrick, or Sligo. Just go to the other side of the roundabout for Dublin!
