Spot on front of the servo. Be sure to hitch early, the check out time from the campground is 10AM after that you’ll be getting roasted in the sun waiting for car. After two hours of nothing coming I went onto small bus that connects to the Melbourne-Batemans route going to Genoa. Got a ride for free, bus goes at 14:25.rating: 3/5, wait: 120 min

Definitely, definitely do not get dropped off here. There is a huge Autogrill just a few kilometers away towards Brescia which serves well both for Milan and Genoa. Unfortunately I mistook this coffee stop (NO petrol station here!) for that place and got stuck here for nearly 2 hours. (Although afterwards I managed to get a direct ride down to Cannes, FR :)).―Anonymous, August 2013

From Genoa to Cogoleto and you should walk west from Cogoleto don't take way for pedestrians, which is going just paralel to sea. Just walk from the national road at the end of cogoleto (there is bride on the right). BTW, that road we walked was the most beatiful part of our travel awesome view. The place we hitchhike was amazing we found a ride in 2 mins when we were walking towards the exit road :)―Anonymous, July 2012

We were heading to Genoa and everybody was going to Milano. One guy stop and took us into the city center, lots of people going for work in the morning and coming back afternoon.―Astala27, July 2012

We were trying to go to Genoa. We did thumbs up and wait for someone heading to that way, we found an architect heading to Milano and took us 100 km futher.―Anonymous, July 2012
