Got kicked out by the police, and realised that I was just after the sign saying "no autostop". All the people seemed to be going to Palermo and no one to Messina

Lot of traffic, and easy for cars to spot you an stop. I wanted to go to Messina, I had a guy stop and he could take me to the central station of Palermo, and then another one going home took me to Termini

Quite a good spot, got picked up towards Messina very quickly

Difficult but not impossible spot to hitchhike to Messina.

Probably the best spot to hitchhike out of Messina but still not a good spot. There are some place for the cars to stop but not so much and lots of cars cant see you because of a fence. I got a lift to the first autogrill on the way to Palermo.
