Nice spot, but nobody was stoping on morning evening, had sign to trieste, but than changed to SEA. Had a ride in few minutes.

Honestly one of the best spots of my life. A lot of cars, you see them coming from far away, many tourists. A couple of Hungarians drove me to Ljubljana. I had a sign "LJ - Zagreb" and came there using a local bus from Trieste (check the number on Google maps, I do not remember).

Not a good spot if you are trying to get towards Slovenia or Trieste. Accessible by foot but most of the traffic seems to go the airport (some people drive by fast just to cut the congestion line to turn right onto the airport) had a sign saying Possiomo Autogrill (next gas station) and after 2-3hr we gave up, first time giving up a spot wouldn’t recommend and there’s accouple of cop car who stopped here but didn’t bother us thankfully.

Accessible by foot from the S D di Piave city (where I got dropped off the previous evening) + possible to pitch a tent in the woods nearby. Got a lift halfway through Trieste. Great spot and lots of people/trucks going through

Was hitchhiking here at the end of the gasstation trying to go towards Trieste. Italians don’t like hitchhikers and after 90 minutes i gave up (it was late). I spoke to a truckdriver earlier who said he was going to Ljubljana the next day (which is where i needed to go) and i asked if he could take me the next day. We agreed to meet at 5 in the moring, so i camped in the bush behind the gasstation. When i was there the next day at 4:45, he was gone.

bad place. barely any cars. but as others have said: probably no better alternative to go west from trieste

as others have said - Trieste works as swiss watch here. easy.

Perfect spot to go to Trieste, I just asked around and found a Ukrainian family going to Rijeka that even dropped me in the city center. Too kind!

Good spot, lot of cars afternoon going to Venice or Trieste direction. We (couple) had a sign Venice/Verona and a young guy took us directly to Padova to the centre and bought us a drink afterwards.

Very small traffic here, just trucks and few cars and people are not so friendly. We were waiting for the car for almost 2 hours and finally one older couple took us (2) to Trieste train station, where we took a public transport to the Barcola part of city, where was a good traffic.

Got a ride to Trieste pretty easily, by asking arround, even if it was the nigth (18h/6PM in november)

Waited with a sign to Trieste, found a ride for a gas station near the turn for Udine, by an Austrian guy after one hour waiting. Car have space to stop but lot of them did not.

Not a lot of people came by, but the ones that did were mostly kind. And one of them gave us a ride back to Trento Sud to go south on our way to Trieste. If you stay there long enough you will probably get a ride east through Valsugana.

Tons of traffic in the right direction towards pula. Stand in front of the bus stop so drivers can pull in. I’m assuming it would be good for trieste as well

Not to much traffic leaving, lots of people not going to Trieste even though that is what was written on the sign. A police man stopped to talk to me but said it was ok to stay if I stayed at the rest stop and did not walk onto the highway.

Great spot lots of traffic east. Got picked up right away. Trying to go to Trieste and I got a ride about half way to a gas station just past portoguaro

Do not catch in this spot if you want to go to Trieste! We made this mistake and waited for an hour and a half until some friendly driver took us to a different spot. Many cars heading there actually go through Conegliano. Most people here go to Venice or Padua. Some people told us that it would be better for us to try to catch a ride on the other side of the road, but the pedestrian tunnel connecting the 2 stations was closed.

We stood here without a sign and got picked immediately towards Trieste. There is a lot of traffic and people notice you. The lady who took us told that in the past this spot was very known for hitchhiking.

Not much cars, at least on Sunday. The driver who had helped me here from Ljubljana came back to me to drive me to Trieste <3

Even though this spot was very praised, and there's nice markings by fellow hitchhikers on a traffic sign, I had to wait 1,5 h to get a ride towards Trieste. Even got middle-finger'd once. Gave up with using a sign in half an hour. After 1h 15min the first car stopped for me, but was going to Novo mesto. A while after that, a super nice and helpful Slovenian mother picked me eventually up and took me to the halfway and donated me some mixed nuts and drove home. And then she came back to me in order to drive me to Trieste!!! <3 so the wait was deffo rewarded
