Towards Rezekne, even though the sideroad seems to be used just by locals, the cars turning will most likely due to 0 speed just stop for you and take you further, so far the only good spot near Daugavpils, here you'd get a car within 30 minutes

First decent spot going towards Rezekne from Daugavpils, but still no luck, even if there is a speed camera, 50km/h zone and a very good bus stop for stopping, it just didnt work out, ended up going for the Mazie Stropi side road, where I got a direct ride immediately, hitching out from anywhere in Daugavpils is quite difficult, wait times of 60+ minutes to be expected for sure, good luck out here

Towards LV, Daugavpils, the border is amazing. Due to the current events most of the lorries are headed on A13 to one of the Russian border points, which means that every lorry gets inspected by the border guards. Due to that all the normal cars that do use this crossing drive super slow, get stuck behind manouvering lorries etc, therefore they have super good visibility on you when u stand on the border, wait times of 5-20 minutes expected, most likely first personal car with any space will give you a lift to Daugavpils the least

Direction Daugavpils. Cars all ~2 minutes but the road is more straight to the direction of vilnius so i assume some cars will go. My ride only takes me a few kilometers ahead. But stop is right bevore a turn so some cars even slow down a bit but there is no roof at the bus station.

spent 3 hours here at the evening of Sunday trying to get to Kaunas. Finally gave up and went to Daugavpils.

Right after traffic lights there is plenty of space to stop the car and the speed there is quite low. Direction of Ogre, Daugavpils, Rzekne. With a sign you can even get a ride in direction of Tallin.

Good place for going toward Daugavpils.

There is a petrol station. There you can find a lift to Jekabpils, Daugavpils, Rezekne. In this petrol station is a lot of cars.

Get here with a bus from Daugavpils bus station and use thse sigh LT or even PL. I always get ride in less than 2 minutes (depends on traffic)

To Daugavpils, Rezekne, Russia. 2 years ago it was a very good place for hhiking, but now, due to reconstructions, it could change a bit

HH spot to hh direction of Jonava, Ukmerge, Utena, Daugavpils. You can even get a lift to Moscow here, couse it's one o the way to go there.

On way to Ogre, Aizkraukle, Daugavpils, Russian border. It's a busstop. After the bus stop is a parking place, but sometimes it is full - then better to hh before busstop and after traffic lights. The cars have to slow down before either because of traffic lights or because of tram rails which cross the street before. Tram 7 or 9 can take you here from city centre. You can go further by bus, but many people think that starting this place and ending just in next town Salaspils is a place for prostitutes. So, don't forget your sign!

There is a good place to hitchike to Riga because cars go from Daugavpils and Rezekne.There ir evry good traffic especially in Sunday.

There are many cars who goes to Ogre,Jekabpils,Daugavpils and Russia so it's very easy to hitchhike someone.This place is in bus stop.
