it was a great spot for me! i found a truck that drop me to vilnius directly (i fully recommend to be active when u see one - use your sign - trucks are perfect if u’re looking for long distance) maybe it was bc it was sunday in august and ppl needs to get home but i’ve seen a lot of trafic and some classic car stops i definitely recommend it but you need a sign 100% and try at the end of the day (more traffic i presume) good luck😇

Got a ride all the way to Vilnius! I believe getting one to Warsaw shouldn't be very hard, although I didn't get one quickly.

Super busy gas station when I was there. Ask couple people and instantly got a ride to Vilnius. Or you can just stand at the exit if you want there enough traffic for it. Idk how much cars go to Kaunas but I can imagine you find some for sure

Good spot - we thought we might have been the first to ever hitchhike in this town. Got a guy who was very nice and took us all the way to Vilnius - even offered to drop us where we want.

Was asking everyone if they were going to Vilnius in Friday evening and most of the rraffic was going still to Kaunas and other towns around. But we found a guy after 15 minutes that goes. I am lithuanian so maybe that helped but every person was very friednly in answering me. Not the usual sight when i use english in other places

brilliant spot. traffic lights before are inconvenient for drivers. was planning to go to kaunas or poland, but was instantly offerred a right to vilnius.

A great spot going further south, ask for a driver to let out you on the highway shoulder if they are going to Vilnius and you are headed towards Kaunas, good visibility and okay speeds, wait times of 5-15 minutes

Had a sign saying Vilnius and got a direct ride reasonably fast.

I initially stood at the exit but as it was getting late I decided to ask drivers instead. The second guy I asked took me to Vilnius

One male 40+, with a sign "VILNIUS" , one big and one small backpacks, dry but cloudy day. Going to Vilnius. A very good space. A bus stop, with enough space even for a truck to squeeze in. Just before 9 in the morning. A perfect traffic, a car every 20-30 seconds. A van stopped after 15-20 minutes of waiting and took me all the way to Vilnius. I got to this spot walking from the centre of Bauska.

A bus stop, with enough space even for a truck, just after the entrance/exit to a petrol station. 8:45 in the morning. A perfect traffic, a car every 20-30 seconds. I barely started hitchhiking and a car stopped and took me to Bauska, where after 15 minutes I got another ride, all the way to Vilnius. The only problem with this place is getting there. Before, from Riga, there is a highway, plus it's 20 kms from the centre. So no chance to walk there. I got a ride from my friend. But I guess there must be a bus from Riga, stopping there.

Here is a good spot because drivers have space for stopping. I stayed there with the sign : PANEVEZYS that vice-versa was VILNIUS, after 20 minutes of waiting one truck driver stopped when I showed sign PANEVEZYS, after he saw another side of my paperboard, he said that he could move me to Vilnius, and we go nice.

There is a bus stop: "Neilandi", the bus 26 go there from city and across the road is the sign of RIGA. Firstly I try to hitchhiking with the sign Vilnius but after 30 min with no result, I change the sing to Bauska. After this in 5 min one driver stopped and bring me to Bauska

Direction Daugavpils. Cars all ~2 minutes but the road is more straight to the direction of vilnius so i assume some cars will go. My ride only takes me a few kilometers ahead. But stop is right bevore a turn so some cars even slow down a bit but there is no roof at the bus station.

Better spot than the gas station on the roundabout. There is plenty of room for cars to stop. Most of the drivers were locals, traffic from the roundabout usually goes the other directions. Got a ride to Vilnius.

nobody took me to panevezys in 2 hours. if youre headed to Vilnius, dont make the same mistake as me just take the train to Panevezys, it costs 3€ for a student. hitchiking from Siauliai in this direction isnt worth it.

i stood at the exit from the gas station before the roundabout. literally the first car that passed by took me to Vilnius.

a bit of traffic. haven't tried to go deeper, maybe it's better as people suggest. had a feeling that no one was going to kaunas/vilnius

Tried here for 15min towards Kaunas in the evening. Didn't get a ride, though I would've gotten one to Vilnius after 10 min. Asking truck drivers and other people at the gas station hadn't worked for half an hour before changing to this spot.
