Medium spot. On daytime quite some traffic. Cars from the right side passing by quite quickly. Took about 20 min for someone (going another direction) to stop to tell me that its not the perfect spot to get people going to Amsterdam. But after 30 min a former hitchhiker picked me up. Waited over an hour at the bus stop next to this place but nobody stopped so I decided to go to this less legal spot in order not to miss half the cars going in the direction of highway. After less than half an hour a guy stopped that was not even going to Amsterdam but said that he doesn't have anything to do and brought me right to the city center while pointing out all the main attractions along the way.rating: 4/5, wait: 100 min 👍, ride: 30 km ↗

Great spot for going north to Amsterdam, and okay spot to get west to Rotterdam.Unfortunately the staff of the gas station told me I can't ask drivers for a lift at the gas station itself, so I had to resort to using a sign on the exit of the parking lot. A bit annoying, as the gas station had lots of cars coming through.
I the end, I didn't wait too long and finally found somebody who drove me close to Rotterdam.

Theres some little space where cars can stop, definitely stamd with a big sign and somewhere really visible, dont try to be a "surprise" to the cars. Might be more difficult if theres peak traffic but it worked.All the way to Amsterdam :D

I got a ride pretty quickly. Would agree that the spot might not be perfect — not that much traffic unless you go to the roundabout. Also, the people stopping at McDonalds seem to be going in other directions than Amsterdam. My luck came from the direction of the hotel, where someone was heading towards the city.Worst case there is a train station close to it, so you can easily get into the city if you are not lucky.
