Probably the best spot from enschede towards the west

YESSS I loved this! bus stop cars are tbh bit fast maybe but there's plenty space and I got a lift to Enschede withing minutes and it was such a sweet one as well

Almost every Dutch person here will go to Almelo, Enschede or Hengelo so in only 5 minutes i got a ride to Enschede

Asked around, and got a ride in 10 minutes by a great person to Enschede.

Waited for 2 hours. Enough room to stop, but only one person did and they went in the wrong direction. Walked to the other intersection 15 minutes away. (Direction Enschede/Germany)

Roundabout is gone. Just crossing with traffic lights. Bus stop is in the middle with separate bus lane, so no possibility for cars to stop. Difficult to hitch to Enschede from this spot.

Half of the cars here are Dutch, so there are many people going to Enschede/Hengelo. If you just ask around you can definitely get a ride to the Netherlands very fast Second person I asked gave me a ride to Enschede.

Had one driver promise me he'd come back to bring me to Enschede in 10 mins, but I already had a ride before that. At the bus stop. Bit awkward with the curve of the road being blocked from view by traffic signs so I stood quite far on the road.

Bus stop in front of the gas station. Sheltered from the rain under the roof of the station while hitching the passing traffic. Used sign "Enschede". Waited 3 mins for a driver that took a detour to drop me a the station.

If you get dropped of on the parking on either side and want to go into Enschede: Walk along the highway, under the viaduct, than climb it on the other side.

Possible for all directions (Arnhem/ Enschede/ Germany). Sign might be usefull.

Good towards Varsseveld and Enschede.

It took me about an hour to get a ride but that's probably because I had "Enschede" on my sign. When I changed it to "Steinfurt" I got a ride within 10 minutes. I would still say this is a good spot.

The bus from Enschede gets you here in 15 min for 4,5euro. I got the ride just to Rheine.

Directions Zwolle/Groningen/Enschede (Emmen) not a lot of space to properly stop for cars but I still managed to get picked up in a few minutes due to low traffic.

The place is okay to get to Germany, plenty of cars, but a lot of them are going to Enschede or Hengelo, so prepare to be turned down quite often. Eventually, it took us about half an hour to find a ride to the border.

On-ramp at Burgsteinfurt, B54 towards Enschede. Very little traffic here...

On-ramp 24 Deventer-Oost, A1 towards Hengelo/Enschede/Germany. Recently reconstructed, but seems to be good.

B54 Gronau, West towards Enschede. Not that much traffic but still a reasonably good on-ramp.

On-ramp Ochtrup, B54 towards Gronau/Enschede (NL). No shoulder, but traffic isn't that fast so they can still stop. Not much traffic and people don't seem to friendly around here, so you might wait a bit longer ;)
