It took me about an hour to get a ride but that's probably because I had "Enschede" on my sign. When I changed it to "Steinfurt" I got a ride within 10 minutes. I would still say this is a good spot.―Anonymous, August 2017

Directions Zwolle/Groningen/Enschede (Emmen) not a lot of space to properly stop for cars but I still managed to get picked up in a few minutes due to low traffic.―Anonymous, March 2016

The place is okay to get to Germany, plenty of cars, but a lot of them are going to Enschede or Hengelo, so prepare to be turned down quite often. Eventually, it took us about half an hour to find a ride to the border.―Maxim1110, August 2015

On-ramp Ochtrup, B54 towards Gronau/Enschede (NL). No shoulder, but traffic isn't that fast so they can still stop. Not much traffic and people don't seem to friendly around here, so you might wait a bit longer ;)―Anonymous, October 2013

exit 27 Hengelo-Zuid, A35 towards Enschede / Mnster. Not the best spot in this direction because there's not that much traffic. Also cars don't seem likely to stop, even though there's a hard shoulder.―Anonymous, November 2012

A35 exit Almelo-Zuid, towards Hengelo, Enschede, Deventer. The traffic is a bit fast because the traffic lights are at a distance, but there's so much space for them to stop on the shoulder that you'll have no problems here. In rush hour you can consider asking at the carpool place just south of the spot.―Anonymous, January 2012
