Amazing spot if you're going anywhere in the Netherlands. There was a lot of traffic and I quickly found a driver who took me to the service station in the south of Nijmegen. In retrospect, I should have waited here longer and looked for a longer ride.

Good spot going south. Easy to catch a ride to Nijmegen and possibly to the A73 going further south or the A50 towards Eindhoven. Easily reachable from Wageningen or other neighboring towns by taking the bus to the stop “Patrimoniumweg” and walking down along the Kerkweg. The ramp is accessible shortly after exiting the tunnel.rating: 4/5

I was heading to Antwerp, so I asked people if they drove to Eindhoven to get from there to Antwerp. Some people drove to Nijmegen and the person who gave me a ride drove to the gas station behind Breda, which is better than Eindhoven, but less obvious.―Anonymous, April 2016

A lot of local traffic. Eventually, a girl who was heading to Apeldoorn drove me to a gas station on the A50 towards Nijmegen. Thank you very much!―Anonymous, April 2016

Gas/petrol station. Good place to hitchhike from if you need to go east, towards Nijmegen and Germany. May also work as an alternative route eventually going south.―Anonymous, December 2015

No hard shoulder, fast traffic. Most of the people going probably to Nijmegen. I left the place after 1 hour and walked rather to the other side of the city.―Anonymous, July 2015

We were extremely lucky to catch a ride all the way to Nijmegen from here on a Sunday. Sundays appear to be good for rides to the Netherlands from here because many Dutch people ("dagjesmensen") return from short trips to the Ardennes then.―Maxim1110, March 2015

Found this place to be more or less pointless going south, most drivers passing here are going (south)west towards Eindhoven/Den Bosch. For direction Venlo, your chances are much better next to the onramp to the A73. I've hitched many times there, always works great.
Furthermore, the above statement is supported by the fact that you can clearly see how many drivers coming from the Wijchenseweg are entering the A73 direction south there: they weren't many. Of the total amount of cars entering the motorway, I'd say about 20-30% came from Nijmegen centre and the rest from the west (Wijchen).

Came here on a Thursday afternoon in January looking for a ride to Nijmegen (NL). Plenty of Dutch cars around to ask, got a ride to Kleve in about 15 minutes.―Maxim1110, February 2015
